WESTS TIGERS BEAT BULLDOGS 36-16 IN U20S

Wests Tigers recorded their fourth straight win in the Toyota Cup competition with a 36-16 victory over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at the Sydney Football Stadium tonight.
Full-back Jake Mullaney scored three tries and winger Faleula Fina crossed for a double in the win.
Wests Tigers lost forward Ben Murdoch-Masila through concussion. He has been replaced by Sean Spence, who will play his first game for Wests Tigers after some good performances for Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSW Cup.
Wests Tigers opened the scoring in the seventh minute when half-back Jay Florimo offloaded a short inside ball to second-rower, who stood in a tackle to offload to full-back Jake Mullaney who strolled over from 10 metres out to score behind the posts. Mullaney converted the try for a 6-0 lead.
Mullaney is the leading pointscorer in the Toyota Cup competition.
The full-back grabbed his second try five minutes later when he swooped on a loose pass to crash through three defenders to score out wide for a 10-0 lead. He failed to convert his own try.
The Bulldogs had their best scoring opportunity in the 19th minute through an acrossfield chip kick by five-eighth Shane Pumipi but the ball went over the outstretched arm of winger Chris Centrone and into touch.
Mullaney recorded a hat-trick a minute later when he got the ball from the scrum win and raced around two defenders to dive over in the corner for a 14-0 lead. Mullaney makes tryscoring look easy. He failed to convert his own try.
Wests Tigers prop Neil Begovich then showed great leg speed to power his way through three defenders to score under the posts. Mullaney converted the try for a 20-0 lead after 25 minutes.
The Bulldogs opened their account in the 32nd minute when the ball was spread right through their halves for centre Lazarus Mulu to score near the posts. The conversion attempt by centre Aidan Sezer was converted for a 20-6 scoreline.
Wests Tigers extended their lead to 24-6 when Mullaney threw a long overhead cut out pass for winger Faleula Finau to dive over unmarked in the corner. It came on the back of a great ball from captain Matt Hyland to put Mason Taloula deep into the Bulldogs quarter.
Mulalney failed to convert to leave the Wests Tigers with a 24-6 lead at half-time.
2nd Half
The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the second 40 when full-back Nehe Milner-Skudder raced 40 metres to score for a 24-10 scoreline.
It became 28-10 when winger Faleula Finau scored out wide with 20 minutes remaining.
The Bulldogs got back to 28-16 when Dean McGlinchey crashed over next to the posts for a converted try.
Wests Tigers secured victory when five-eighth Bodie Clarke and winger Sama Sauvao dived over in the same corner in consecutive minutes for a 36-16 scoreline.
