I think the issue is that the radio station is owned by a betting agency.
 
I think its going to open up another can of worms for the NRL. There seems to plenty of people with influence in the NRL that are affiliated with a business or organisation that have links (whether it be owned or sponsored) to a betting agency. Do they have to work for a company specifically owned by a betting agency for it be problem? I think being a sponsor to business (NRL, fox etc) has just as much validity as all businesses have strong links to their sponsors, which creates the conflict of interest. I could be wrong and way out of my depth, but it just doesnt seem right. There should be a massive overhaul of the NRL beginning with the clean out of head office, then the Roosters. Easier said then done tho. Sorry for the rant. Tcat out.

Whilst I wasn't a fan of Daley coming as a consultant, I accepted the coachs call.

But now the NRL has stopped this based on the perceived connection with Daley and NSW TAB.

So, answer these questions please Mr Greenberg.

1) How is he a Kangaroo selector
2) How is he the NRL Indigenous Allstars Coach

and now the kicker from Greenberg himself. Quoted from Foxsports article dated 13 July, 2018 and was in relation to the Billy Slater Man of the series decision. Greenberg is quoted referring to judges Lockyer, Meninga and Daley in relation to the decision…..

Well by blocking his appointment Mr Greenberg, You have just questioned his integrity !!!!!!!!

In fairness the connection to NSW TAb didn't exist at the time of that quote, your other points are spot on though!
 
Cochise, doesnt matter if the connection was there or not. Greenberg has clearly supported the integrity of a man named Laurie Daley. Did he suddenly lose the integrity to which Greenburg refers once he was employed on the Big Sports Breakfast or anywhere else? No. He either has integrity or he doesnt.
 
Love the common sense, the passion and debating this but it really is just wasted time. The real issue the NRL's agenda against us.

Daley is just the latest victim.

Any other sport I would be checking whether it is April 1st, but this is the norm for Turdy Greenturd and his consistently inconsistent organisation. Never been a fan of Failey but I have absolute contempt for the NRL. Will Tyson Gamble be deregistered next? Bring back Super League!

I have not even worked out how to quote people property let on this new lay out so thats no surprise. :joy::joy:

I guess my question is given some people defending the NRL in relation to the Pascoe situation must have a few doubts now given how they have handled this situation and the clear hypocrisy involved affecting the WT ?

Is it a reaction to the WT challenging their ruling ? Or are we being too one eyed? Im not into conspiracy theories however this for mine is just another poor look for the NRL and its fledgling leadership.

Ive never had faith in Greenburg at all Eddie. I think he should be punted.

Clearly if you disqualify him from one position based on this then you have to disqualify him from all positions. Its also interesting that Gould who is employed by both Penrith and Channel 9 comments on games, gives his views and tips. During these games betting odds are openly televised. So how come Gould is allowed to continue in both roles.

Agreed, he should be removed from all his positions as his roles on the Big Sports Breakfast is a clear conflict of interests.
 
I suspect if Daley was offered the same position at the roosters it would have been fine and Greenberg would have given his blessing.
 
I remember during the Cleary saga, there came a point where I felt completely drained caring about it. This feels the same. How you lot have the energy to complain about the same thing everyday for nearly 2 months, i’ll never know.
