Wests Tigers Life Members Chris Lawrence and Benji Marshall have both been named to start in their final game for the club this Saturday against the Parramatta Eels.

Having confirmed his retirement at season’s end, Lawrence will play his 253rd and final game for Wests Tigers while Marshall will bring up his 257th Wests Tigers appearance, with the pair trailing only Robbie Farah (277 games) in games played for the club.

With co-captain Moses Mbye sidelined following knee surgery, Marshall has been named as sole captain and will start in the halves alongside Luke Brooks, who returns from a one-game suspension.

Brooks is one of several new faces in the side named to face Parramatta with Alex Twal, Shawn Blore, Michael Chee Kam and Tommy Talau all returning to the squad.

Talau will start in the centres in place of Joey Leilua, who drops back to the reserves, while Twal returns from an illness that ruled him out of last week’s game against Melbourne. Chee Kam and Blore return to the side after extended absences from the squad — Chee Kam set for his first game since Round 11 while Blore has not played since Round 16 — with the pair taking the place of Russell Packer (concussion) and Sam McIntyre (concussion).

Zane Musgrove will also start his first game since Round 6 as he replaces the injured Josh Aloiai (knee).

Saturday’s game will also see Wests Tigers local junior Adam Doueihi will also bring up his 50th NRL appearance, having not missed a game for the club in 2020.

Doueihi is joined by Samoan internationals David Nofoaluma and Luciano Leilua as the only players to feature in every game for Wests Tigers this year.

MCK 😂😂😂😂 great end to the season honestly ! That has to be the weakest team I can remember!

Blore v Brown .. can’t wait

No Packer v Shatterson 😢

Good to see Joey get dropped .. he’s useless

It's going to be a huge ask on our forwards. Prop rotation of Mus and Mika followed by Twal and Huth will make it tough. Who will make the metres?

All departing players/off contract players named - Your last shot to prove your worth to another club.

Hope to see them all play like their career depends on it.

The same players who normally make all the meters.....(no one)

No surprise to see BJ dropped. Reckon the video review would have been embarrassing for him. A bit surprised Liddle has been benched again given he hasn't put a foot wrong since returning from injury.

Oh well, hopefully the boys aim up but I suspect they'll end up cannon fodder for the flat track bullies.

Hope there are no last minute shambles as occurred before our final game last year.

Robbie Farah gonna come out of retirement

If we get a fair deal with the referee - which rarely happens against Parramatta - we might have a chance. A Johns gone into the Parra bubble so Brooks and Benji can be assured that every weakness they have will be scrutinized with a fine tooth comb.

Packers concussion must have been the swinging arm he received from NAS to the jaw there was a break down in play the incident was replayed 3 times and no action taken it wasnt even mentioned in the video review if it had been the other way round Packer would have been suspended

Pretty much all of Eels players are better. Like last week I'll be thrilled with losing by under 20, which seems like a big stretch. Tigers will have to play out of their skin.
