What to do.

Depends what you mean our start ??

Do you mean the Knights game ??

I still feel to a degree that what happened to Moses had an effect on the club Round 1 2013

who cares?? we'll cross that bridge IF we get to it.

there's no threads about what to do if we open up the season with a 5 win streak

Ok. Say we lose our first 8 games.

If you were Grant Meyer what would you do?

Quit at the Tigers and apply for a job with the team who is leading the competition.

Okay, say if our entire FG succumbs to a very sever virus and miss the entire season. We play our NSW Cup team and lose every game.

What would you do if you were Grant Mayer.

Honestly, dealing in hypotheticals like this where planning ahead won't make an OUNCE of difference is stupid.

We can sit around going "what if" for the next 2 weeks, or look at our team and analyse their performances/weaknesses/strengths. There's a darn good opportunity for that coming up tomorrow in fact.

Fudge the numbers on the salary cap, build a ridiculously strong side. The next couple of years we are a force, membership numbers go through the roof. They find out, fine us, strip away our titles but we still had lots of fun. Blame it all on some fall guy.

Hope we win the 9th

But people just look at winning and losing. …I know its a results business, and wins count....but what if during those 8 games we play very very well but are extrememly unlucky???....we lost 2 of those by 1 point each, another three by 2-4 points...and the remaining three by 4-8 points....is that what you mean?

Or do you mean we play terrible...lose 8 straight and concede 240 points and score 26 in those 8 games.

Lots of different scenarios...lots more to it than just winning & losing

Im not worried about win/loss but the performances.

Last year when we were losing we were abysmal. Close to the worst first grade team I had seen in 30 years. The scary thing was that for most of the season there was little or no improvement as a unit. Some individuals improved (Simona, BMM, Nofo) but the unit didnt.

Fingers crossed the extra post season will see those problems go away.

Ink and ST nailed it.

Performances are paramount, not results this year as we are trying to build a new culture. more often than not a good performance will result in a win or close to it, so six out of eight good performances should see us in the top eight, even if we lose two of those six good efforts.

I wouldn't be concerned , but I'd reckon Potter might be in trouble

Even if he'd lost 6 of those games by 6 or less

I think the board would be spooked by the media and some fans calling for his head

I hope he sees out at least to the end of 2014 and hopefully 2015 as real Potter results probably won't be fully evident until then

look in the Humpty Draw for a good quote for the media…

If that's locked, create your own player scandal to give you excuses...

If the hounds are still knocking, convince the board to sack the coach...

1\. Hope the 9th game is against the Bye.

2\. Get Blair to comment on another article saying how "he will be better next year." Providing the fans with complete reassurance.

3\. Clone 17 Farah's.

4\. Ask Sheens to come back for a one-time gym re-arrangement.

5\. Bring back Fitzy.

What happened to "Moses" that was about 2000 years ago, I really don't see the significance?

Even if we lost the first dozen I doubt anything will change.
The club needs stability so unless there is another player revolt, everyone should see out the season. I don't expect much at all from the club this year. But will still turn up and cheer them on anyway.
