What we can do with allocated dollars for Galvin

Well we have been moving players on and freeing up space and dollars. For not a lot more then we were going to pay Galvin (and in some cases, less) we can make a play for :/

And ant the same time, extend Douehi who loves the club and covers multiple positions .

If Fainu proves himself this year as the man at 5/8 a lot of the money will go to upgrading & extending him. I wouldn’t be surprised for a overpay, can’t afford to them both of them a year apart

Fainu strikes me as more of a natural ballplayer than Galvin. His touches are silky and he's shown he can run a good line. Key for him is managing his injuries.

I think Galvin may have done us a favour by rejecting the WT.

The $1m per season we had allocated to hiom will provide us with funds to have a much better balanced side moving forward. Watch Latu blossom now that he knows the #6 jumper is his for the taking.
100% agree. Whilst it might be a bit of a slap in the face by the media in the short term, I think we will be better off. Latu is the better player and shouldn’t cost as much. Galvin had taken on mythical status but when I watched him play he never lived up to the hype.

I won’t miss him putting it over the dead ball line at least once a game.

Give it to the boys to spend on their piss up in Bali after round 27.
While they watch the semi's after not making it again.

Ps Galvin can buy his own

This isn't 2018. (or 2000 for those who remember McCracken's hummer).

Just because we have a war chest doesn't mean we need to go out and blow it right away. Centre and a Backrower would be great but only at the right price and we don't need to be making offers to dud veterans anymore.

We're a development club. Richo will always be looking to lock up talented juniors in the medium over the big marquee signings. Also it's ALWAYS better to have wiggle room in the cap for when clubs are looking to offload players. The best signing we've made in a decade (may) almost happened by mistake, imagine if our cap was already maxxed out.

We need depth and balance more than star signings.
