Sydney residents and experts alike have been saying for at least the last 5 years that there are high levels of lead in the regions soil.
One of the worst areas tested was, you guessed it, Balmain.
This fallout is from decades of lead use in house paint and petrol additives that settle in the soil.
It just so happens that housing in the inner city areas of LLeichhardt and Stanmore has more old houses with leaded paint than any other district.
Children are at a greater risks because they play in the dirt and can injest this dangerous substance.
Major side effects include brain disorders, memory loss and lack of concentration.
You're too old to have lead in your pencil magpie 😻Now we know why all you Dudes on the Balmain side of Our JV love Leichhardt Oval so much, and it's not even an oval

Yeah, i don't know magpie1963 and many people could say the same things about the other U.S food franchises (did somebody say KFC?) or is it that they used to taste a lot better in the old days? and it's worth remembering that in 2003, the person who introduced Krispy Kreme doughnuts to Aust. was Neil Whittaker.Only ever had 1 Krispy Kreme on 2 occassions and have no intention of going back for a 3rd bite.

Paul Sironen used to be a sales rep for Krispy Kreme tooYeah, i don't know magpie1963 and many people could say the same things about the other U.S food franchises (did somebody say KFC?) or is it that they used to taste a lot better in the old days? and it's worth remembering that in 2003, the person who introduced Krispy Kreme doughnuts to Aust. was Neil Whittaker.
Neil Whittaker (Balmain 1979-1985)
hooker and club captain
Whittaker, now is a very successful businessman and he was a key player in ending the Super League war, who then became the CEO of ARL in 1997 and then took the CEO position of the NRL the following year when it was formed.
Wouldn't it be nice now to remove those crooks at the NRL HQ and replace them with people like Neil or even Wayne Pearce?
Know what you are saying and Wayne Pearce is still on the ARL Commission.Yeah, i don't know magpie1963 and many people could say the same things about the other U.S food franchises (did somebody say KFC?) or is it that they used to taste a lot better in the old days? and it's worth remembering that in 2003, the person who introduced Krispy Kreme doughnuts to Aust. was Neil Whittaker.

Geez Neil Jack Whittaker was a great rake for the Tigers , was also an engineer down at CSR Pyrmont , has certainly held some positionsKnow what you are saying and Wayne Pearce is still on the ARL Commission.
Hopefully he is doing his best to keep them honest, but no doubt fighting a losing battle, but I'm sure he's got the best interests of Rugby League at heart.
not that is related to this suiation but why do you always hear in the news that the guy always take out the kids then himself? because he thinks law favours the wife and hes got nowhere to go.Not enough is done to prevent male suricide or help with mental health in this country. 75% of suricides are men and it's the leading reason of death for people aged 15 to 44 in Australia.
