i like vossy.

i dislike rabs, i cant wait for his retirement. i actually dont mind what gus gould does, but to me rabs goes on about it and makes me want to turn off. i hate friday night football

Agreed. Can't stand the senile old goat.. constantly whinging about things that occured 5 minutes ago, getting players names wrong, constantly explaining the rules for casual viewers.

Andrew Moore & Joel Caine would go alright, if/when the NRL goes to One HD.

Gee I thought I was in a small minority who thought this! Rabs makes a lot of errors and I dread the predictable arguments with Gus Gould about the geography of the local area or the ever constant "there's this thing called the rule book…"

Voss on the other hand I like.

How about Mike Stephenson from the ESL and Lozza . They are perfect for each other .
One of Stephensons most memorable comments was "They'll be posting T R I Try any moment ."
Him and Lozza would have you searching for sharp objects or the mute button . Seriously though what about the Caller from ABC radio who does the main games over the weekend Having a mental blank on his name

Happy I think you are referring to David Morrow who calls the NRL with comments from the wok Ryan. As for Mike Stevo I think he has stuck his head into too many scrums in the days when hookers actually played that position and fought for the ball in scrums. I recall watching him play for Penrith, a handy player, he was accompanied by a fellow pom at the time named Bill Ashurst who was a handy second rower. None can match Gareth Ellis though, they tell me he is a real champion.

David Morrow would be great in my opinion Cunno In my opinion along with Vossy two of the best commentators in the land

cannot stand andrew voss. this guy is an absolute tool. he loves the sound of his voice and gives no one else a chance fro comment especially when he interviews players as asks and answers his own questions.

really like david morrow and the expert comments from wazza. they are always spot on and not the usual claptrap disguised as expert commentary from sterlo.

the back and forth between Rabs and Gus is nausiating
if Andrew Moore ever gets anywhere near a commentary box for a TV network i'll blow up my television
the man is a parasite

Them's pretty nasty sentiments there, GNR. Have you ever personally encountered Moore in a way that would make you form such a negative opinion of him?

i've heard enough of his commentary to come to that conclusion Flip
a commentator's job is too be objective, and keep their crticism constructive. His criticism involves belittling players and making fools of them
if he's calling a game that isn't of the highest standard and a team is on the attack and are not doing much with the football,he calls the game with total dis-interest,which is both disrespectful and unprofessional
i remember one night during a game he claimed that Dene Halatau wasn't up to FG standard. What right does he have to say that, who is he? you'd never Rabs or Voss say something like that
IMO that classifies him as a germ

The answer is simple: Billy Birmingham

Billy doing one game, Roy and HG doing the other. Brilliant.

Billy because he can do all the commentators voices to give us some variety and then Roy and HG for expert analysis

Rabs will probably retire if 9 lose the TV rights so the situation may need to be dealt with sooner rather than later.

Fair emough GNR. I must admit I've never really istened to him and if your analysis of his commentary is anything to go by, I'm glad I haven't! Constructive criticism of a player or team is one thing, but outright disrespcting them is quite another, and there is no place for it in the commentary box.

Gus's comments and opinions are often designed to schmooze certain clubs.

In the last few years, he has gone out of his way to appease/suck up to Qld supporters who complained about his bias.

He has also won over a lot of Tigers' fans with the "I love Keithy" and "I love the Tigers at Leichhardt" campaigns.

He tells the fans what they want to hear, which I must admit, is clever, but annoying.

I pray for a stray football to smack into the back of his head every time he delivers one of those nauseating on-field, supposedly ad libbed Pre-origin game spiels.
