Recent attempts to attract Trell to the Tigers as their Franchise player were set on the premise of outright electrifying talent that would set us apart, attract more comparable player talent, satisfy community aspirations about our Indigenous acceptance, delight and placate sponsors, motivate our fanbase, and promote our media profile on all levels.
All that would naturally transfer into consistent winning results, so long term our face within the NRL would be changed forever.
But, alas, things didn't go to plan (who'd have thought!).
So back to the time-honoured drawing board was once again our only place for new beginnings in a cycle like no other.
2005 was this club's momentary highlight, and has (tragically) proven to be a mere pimple of a beacon reflecting the success craved by one and all.
Where is our magic?
