Who have we really beaten???

Just listening to Warren Ryan ( :imp: ) listing our victories for the year. For a team with such "potential" this year, the highest ranked team we have beaten is the Warriors (round 2 before they toughened up). We have not played Saints, Manly, Storm and have not beaten any top 6 teams.
Doesn't really bode well at this point in the season. On the same show Sheens also talked about the team not being able to grind it out in a game, and that chasing involves (low succes rate) razzle dazzle play, showing a real lack of patience.
The whole section of the show was a real Tiger bash.
Let's hope things change for the better. 😛ray:

yep. was thinking about this earlier today. beat canberra twice and they've been rubbish. souffs when they were terrible and the warriors at good ol' leichhardt. should have got the titans and yesterday was a wasted opportunity also.

sorry but there right we are garbage just making up the numbers with a poor attitude tiger sides of the past were known for their grit try to the end not give up thats something this side or coach do not have

our draw for the rest of year
Penrith H
Saints A
Knights H
Warriors A
Storm H
BYE
Bulldogs H
Eels A
Cowboys A
Roosters H
Manly A
Dragons H
Penrith A
Eels H
Titans H
Sharks A
Still think we are still certainities to make the 8 ??Personally I think there are 5 games we can right off all ready that we will lose .So if you do that we need to win 8 out of 13 to reach 30 points which will guarantee top 8 IMO . ???????

I was thinking about this after the game last night. We have beat:

Warriors: We were lucky to get away with it, they were not good.
Raiders: Convincing until we leaked points at the end, understandable with the injuries that hit.
Souths: Easy win, expected. (hard to say that after last night..)
Raiders: Same as above, anything but a blow out would have been dissapointing.

Our only wins are against teams at the bottom of the ladder. But most of our losses we looked like we didn't care and gifted points (Titans, Broncos, Roosters come to mind). We might be 8th on the ladder, but I'm far from convinced.

The old scenario again, we need to pull our socks up, we havent been to consistant at all. Rather disgracefull really for a team that promises so much, utterly disappointed.

Well done TG i was wondering who was going to be the first to post this old chestnut this year.

We play the teams in front of us. This subject just devalues everything that comes before. I don't enjoy the wins we have had so far any less just because we lost on Saturday.

Do you forget all last years games because we scraped through against Canberra in the Semis and lost to the Dragons?

Her point, Iron is that we are still to play all the heavy weights of this competition meaning that we really have to improve other wise our season will dive very quickly.

Yeah Girlz - you make a very valid point. We were touted as genuine premiership contenders - many commentators tipped us to finish 2nd behind the dragons at the beginning of the season. We all know that we've been crippled by injuries but, even so, the attitude of the team has been very disappointing. There seems to be no spark or 'fire in the belly'. Let's hope the boys toughen up in the coming weeks or our season will be over early in September

I know what her point is but again it's just another negative thread and an unoriginal one at that. It's so easy to just spirial into more….you know what I can't be bothered just carry on and wallow.

I seem to remember us being in a similar position last year as well in regards to our position and the teams we had beaten.
I honestly think its the fact that we are in the middle of the season and they are thinking about the week to week grind of the season now.
It was like that last season and the season before until after the Origin period where they decided to harden up with the end of season looming, or as I feel they see it 'the end of the tunnel'.

No one really, we havent played well in any games this year. What games do you think that we have played really in this year??? i thought we have played pretty average this year, except for the souffs and canberra games???? thoughts??? what are you really going 2 say about who we have beaten this year???

Relayed a "professionals" opinions which I heard on the radio. The same as people posting excerpts from the paper. I do believe that teams who start firing by around round 15-16 are seen as real contenders, and made a comment that I hope the Tigers do start to put it all together….. As for Warren Ryan - just remember 1989 ( coaches brain snap)
