I'm hoping it will be Mitch Brown with Ryan and Tuqiri on the wing. How long is Brown under contract?

at the moment i would think brown will get first shot at fullback. reddy and tuqiri on the wings

Possible options:

Mitch Brown (if he is re-signed as he is off-contract this season);
Jake Mullaney (although I doubt he'll be given a go and I'm unsure of his contract status);
Lote Tuqiri;
Chris Lawrence;
Joel Reddy; and
Benji Marshall.

Mullaney is the only specialist fullback in this group but given he is yet to make his first grade debut, I think he's at long odds.

Brown can get the job done but is off contract. Lawrence has played fullback in his junior days and he would only be an option if the club specifically bought Reddy to play in the centres with Ayshford.

Tuqiri could be an option but I like the combination he and Lawrence have and I don't know if I'd be changing that.

How many games has Reddy played at fullback?

Marshall would be a long shot because I don't know if the club will rush young Sirro into FG at 18 years of age next season.

The off-season will prove most interesting in this respect.

Tedesco could also be rough chance. It might be too early, but if he keeps going like he is in U/20s Sheens might decide to throw him in. Karmichael Hunt started at fullback from memory younger than what Tedesco is now.

U wouldnt wanna touch the Larence/Tuquiri combo,which is arguably the best in the NRL,particularly when Benji is on song.
Leaves Reddy vs Brown as the "safe" options,but hardly spectacular & not going to send shivers thru the oppostion or platform a premiership.
So real question is if/when is either of the young guns ready to step up….?Up to them really

I don't think brown will be with us next year. Have no info, just a hunch

As at a few weeks ago, Mitch stated that he would be a Tiger next year, BUT, a couple of months ago Motz stated that he would be staying at the Tigers, so, who knows?

Reddy signed to play fullback

Fair enough. It's a 2 year deal for Reddy by which time Tedesco will be 19 and probably ready for FG given how he's stepped up from SG Ball and handling himself in the 20's. Train the young fella in the top squad for the next couple of years to further help his development IMO.

Brown would be solid, but he doesn't provide the spark that most fullbacks have in the top side's these days. And if we have Brown or Reddy at fullback, when do we blood Tedesco? I mean Brown and Reddy still have a lot of years left in them.

X 2 It didn't make sense if anyone who is currently at the club played fullbacl or they would be playing this weekend Reddy will be fullback imo

IMO he would be a bit slow for fullback?

People that think speed is the key ingredient for playing fullback :deadhorse: . Maybe we should chase Usain Bolt (not that we could catch him)

not the key ingredient, but it's fairly important.
not saying Tiger05's theory that it should be the ONLY thing. :crazy
but speed is pretty important.
