Who will be the next Blues coach?

So there's all this buzz about him joining the NRL next season, probably with Canberra. It's looking like an 80% chance of happening but I don't think we've heard anything from the man himself yet. If he does move on, who do you think is set to replace him? Will they resurrect Wayne Pearce or something?

Wayne Pearce won't get the job while he is on the commission. I think it will go to someone who is on Ricky's staff at the moment, or to one of the city/country coaches (Freddy/Daley).

Daley and or Fittler are odds on but i rekon Stuart will stay if NSW wins& they'll up his money to 400 000 a season

i've always thought tim sheens would make a good rep coach

though, i would prefer if stuart stayed with nsw… they all seem to like him and if they win this game, he shouldnt be sacked

If they are going to sack Ricky because he takes on a job at club, appointing Sheens would be incredibly hypocritical. His record with the Australian team isn't amazing, he did drop a 4 nations with an incredibly good Australian team.

I read in article just yesterday that he was already earning 500k.

I'd rather have Fittler than Laurie. Please god don't let it be Laurie. I mean, I'm sure he's a nice guy.. but maybe took a few too many high shots in his career.. his nose should give you some indication of how often he's been battered around his brain. I can see Freddy being an inspirational sort, a good half-time rouser. But I can't see them giving him the origin reigns, he's too inexperienced as a head coach

I heard he was only on 200 000 & they were in the process of upping it to 500 to temp him to stay
