Great article by Gould, and in one para he says "If assistant coaches are working against the head coach, are they doing so in the best interests of the team or the club? Or are they protecting their own jobs or trying to advance their own cause…"

What does Gould know that we don't...

Hadley just said he has been told that one of the assistant coaches is behind this move , he would not name which one .

I like his ninth paragraph "who is running the club?' That paragraph sums up what I've tried to say in another thread; (Mick Potter has made me PROUD to be a tiger fan again).
Gould says he feels sorry for Potter. So do I. Sorry and outraged that the people managing this club are either behind it happening or passively enabling it through inaction.
Major sponsors please take note, this is where your investment is going.

The rumour for a few months now has been Payten

He has been supposedly white anting Potter at every turn

well, if this is the case, I would find it very ironic that if Todd Payten became the head coach, and one of his assistants did this to him, he would be getting a dose of his own medicine. :unamused:

So if this is the case with what has been happening to the club over the past 48 hrs would not you think he would be sacked! I would imagine the CEO could do this !
That is what you would expect from any boss that has any employee damaging the organisations brand and any confidence moving forward with your stake holders.

Hadley is a grub, pure and simple. He wouldn't know if his arse was on fire until the fire brigade came. Just remember last year he had Potter being sacked within 24 hours but did he apologise? Yep, a grub who has an agenda against this club and doesn't bear listening to.

I've heard Benji is going to buy the Franchise from the NRL and base us in his home Town of Fucatani NZ,still we will probaly end up there without his help.
What a joke, coming off a great win, fighting for a finals berth and all this going on,i bet Tim is enjoying it all..

Yep … I just drove by Tims house , he's sitting in his rocking chair , smoking a cigar , reading the sports pages in the telecrap with a smile like a shot fox !

I think someone promised the coaching job to a mate, thinking our season had no promise. The person expecting to be the new coach in waiting wanted to become closer to the player so their friendship can help his cause next year. So little whispers start to his player mates, don't worry I'm in charge next year. Oops, we're winning, CEO informs coach in waiting, we have a drama, Potter may be coach again, CIW spits chips. Drama starts spirals out of control.
Who's responsible, who must go?

Agree a spot on article by Gould…

I emailed this article to Mayer today and got the below insightful response

_"It's a great and respectful piece.\

With so much being written, I can understand why people are disillusioned.\

Wasn't fanning himself with his cash was he?

Message to Grant.
Grant our disillusionment has nothing to do with what is being written and that is a poor attempt at deflection.
Our disillusionment in based on the fact that we are witnessing with our own eyes coach Potter having a positive influence on the Tigers team and its results this season. To us, there is no obvious reason that his contract has not been extended. Coincidentally, several NRL experts are saying much the same thing. Our disillusionment also stems from the observation that Tigers management (for want of a less diplomatic word) seem to be incapable of dealing with this situation. Please respond.

Reading the above posts a scary thought just crossed my mind. The club has recently been dealing with a legal matter over payments to an ex coach. What if part of the settlement discussions involve the return of ex coach to save money?
