Why do we lack the Killer Punch???

Recent games against Souths, Parramatta and Roosters were games we appeared to be well in control of but lack the killer punch to finish our opposition.

May Sheens should have used Fafita in the first half after we scored the second try to post another try to put the Chooks out of reach.

Our 5th tackle option at times this year has been non existant. We hardly put up a bomb and don't get many repeat sets of six like Prince does for the Titans.

Marshall and Farah can appear guilty of brain explosions when we are on top and help let the opposition back into the game with ball turn over.

I am proud of the effort this year and the improved defence and ability to win close games is due to Folkes in our coaching ranks. I am looking forward to his contribution with Murdoch and Fafita in the off season.

Our bench should always have four fowards as Fulton, Ellis and Dwyer all capable of playing in the backs if needed.

agree. we sometimes be looking for the repeat set instead of going for the try.
Farah should ease up on the grubber kicks a bit i think, especially on tackle 1 or 2..

Unfortunately many times on saturday night it just didn't stick.. i mean ellis was over 3 times in 13 minutes and didn't get a try out of it.. Hopefully sat night is like the warriors game and everything goes smoothly!!

come on tigers!!

ps its fifta not fafita

um against penrith we put them away…against canberra we put them away...against the warriors we put them away. Lets not focus on the negative things.

The knockout punch was the Dwyer hit. A match winner.

Unfortunately, we had no luck with the decision(s) afterwards.

It just wasnt meant to be.

We are a chance come Friday to right the wrong.

A top notch no7 to take control in the big minutes of the game. Take last week when they got another set in extra time after Perrett knocked the kick into touch. The dumbest three plays in the history of NRL. We needed Lui to be setting the plays up and it didnt happen. Iam not blaming Lui, but in big matches you need experienced quality footballers in key positions

I wonder if it isn't related to trying to play a more steady style of footy. We take safer options more frequently, which is probably why we have now won more close games this year but not lapped too many sides.

I think marshall & especially farah's defensive kicks have been above and beyond most kickers in the game. Farahs decisions to send the ball out to the sideline and put pressure on other sides being aware of the 40/20 has been exceptional.

Farah's attacking style has mostly looked like planned moves (early grubber with Lui pelting in) and Benji's monstrous bombs which I dont have a problem with.. but if Lui came in to his own a little bit more (without the brain explosions) there would be some deadly results.
I think the boys could just improve on selecting the repeat set rather than the miracle try on occassions - but with that being said, it looks like the guys are leaning more towards the safe option, with the smart type of footy that comes with finals

and those perceived shortcomings are the fault of the coach again I assume??????

support the team or don't - death-riding for the sake of your ego is both unbecoming and bi-polar!!!
