It will give you strength of character and a support of the underdog throughout life. As an old maggie, I have seen more games lost than won, the eternal struggle to survive, recruitment and money issues, getting the rough end of the pineapple from refs and league administration, and pulling defeat from the jaws of victory.

and the fact that greg hartley ripped off wests against the silvertails manly at the scg which cost us a premiership year in 1978\. Do yourself a favour and get the Wests dvd - the **fibros and the silvertails**. It is well documented there and basically jaw dropping decisions by hartley that let Manly win the comp that year. To better understand the Wests part of the Wests Tigers merger you need to get this dvd if you are serious about being a Wests Tigers supporter yet.

Why support the Mighty Tigers?

Simple answer, Why do the Tigers happen to be most other supporters 2nd team? Because we are an exciting team to watch, we have no grubs in the team, we play footy like we enjoy it…...not just to earn a few dollars.

First place I lived in was in annandale, 2nd was in Abbotsford, my grand mother lives 10 min from LO, my first job was in the CBA at Balmain next job was at Balmain Hospital spent most of my life around the area plus all my mates are Tigers fans as well..

Wests and Balmain had very similar History but were fierce Rivals on the field but with mutual respect.....

Wests.....would have Manly, Canterbury Bankstown, St George as the more traditional rivals...

Balmain....Souths, Canberra and Manly as theirs....

I did too…..My bad....So in fairness to the Rorters...

Rorters.....see Manly....Uncle Nick Politis has taken it to a Whole new Level........Not content to even bother with a Junior League they tend buy established First graders and talented juniors from others..little good it does them.....they have a great home ground to watch football but are lucky to get three drunks and a dog to their home games..Although I like the guy who turns up with a Cock’s comb on his head......Kind enough to share their home Ground it’s like an extra home game for us....
