Wi Fi extender

When COVID hit and me and the Mrs were both working at home full time and seperate ends of the house I bought a TP-Link Deco M5 mesh. Was about 260 and it works like the Google nest system but much cheaper

@innsaneink , did you get this sorted? I'm looking to get data into my shed aswell.

Yeah we did.
A friend of the missus worked it out... I think we had something wrong in the settings or with it being Android TV... not sure, I don't use it only the missus does.
Range is no problem so we don't need an extender...
We had a party yesterday and me and a mate got secretly filmed and posted on facey belting out "livin on a prayer" karaoke 🤔
The YouTube was going strong all day. & nite

Great. Thank god no mobile phones around when we were in our 20s lol

Can't speak highly enough of my Netgear Orbi mesh network system. I had serious wifi signal issues in my house prior, running a $600 wifi extender, it just didn't have enough grunt. Got two Orbi units and it has transformed the entire house. Love it and recommend it to anyone looking to beef up their signal strength.

Are the orbi units very expensive willow ?

I picked up a two-pack from The Good Guys for $580. Thought I may have needed a 3rd unit as I live in a large 6 bedroom, two-storey house but the twin-pack has plenty of grunt. Was hoping it would make a difference but I've got no complaints whatsoever now - my home theatre room used to be a blackhole due to extra insulation etc but now I can sit here comfortably with full signal strength.

Now working from home needed more wifi coverage around the house. I bought a Deco mesh system, it’s similar to the orbi system but a fair bit cheaper.
Office works and HardlyNormal have them.
I set it up on the weekend took me less than an hour. If u knew what you were doing it would only take 15 mins.
Works well. Upstairs and down , from the front to the back of the house. I ran some speed tests which were all good.
