bomb for tuqiri against merritt

we are the only team who hasnt scored off a bomb this year. considering the size and athletism of tuqiri this is quiet remarkable. maybe instead of a stupid grubber that achieves nothing we can put it to the heavens on the left for lote this week?

if marshall's kicking theres no chance.. i dont think he knows how to aim his bombs.
maybe lui can put some short balls up in the air for tuqiri to take

Let's face it Max Mannix could be on the left wing for the bunnies this week and we'd make him look like Kerry Boustead, Eric Grothe Sr and Ken Irvine rolled into one.

hold the ball, don't give away stupid, dumb ass penalties, especially on fourth tackle, do not push the pass when not required. :unamused: run straight and hard, not 20 metres across field for two metres forward. 😢
for god's sake don't let in tries in the period 5 minutes either side of half time.
.

I'd just love to see them put it in the air occasionally, it would keep opposing defences in two minds regardless of whether we went the grubber for the rest of the game.

Our kicking game especially short kicking is our biggest weakness for me we just dont have anyone who can put up a bomb yet other teams regulary score off bombs and not just against us

A) In the warm-ups Benji will hoist 10 or more bombs, then 0 when the game actually starts, can anyone help me here.
B) Can the same person tell me when we do put in an attacking kick its for Fitzhenrys wing and not Lote's.

When they do do it were usually 40m out and the bomb comes down on the 20

Our short kickin game is probably our best, but thats not saying much when all our kicks are pretty damn pathetic.

Was watching last nigts game, and most others, some kickers going for touch make 40 damn meters for their team…20's usually our best.....I guess that comes with having three coaches that were all forwards.

C) In Benji's warm up his goal kicking is the same as he is in the game…crap.

Hopefully Lui makes a positive difference to the Tigers kicking game this week.

fergiefurr…. you say grubbers lead to nothing... i dont believe you remember.... the grubber for tuqiri against parra... ?

Oh yeah, those tries SEVEN WEEKS AGO were awesome

Our kicking game is a tad predictable.
I think the opposition have our measure.
A bomb needs to be kicked 1\. so that it lands in a position relatively close to the tryline. 2\. with players ready and running towards the ball.
The only high balls we seem to kick are from too far out, and our line then gets set defensively. YAWN

You could almost cut&paste this for EVERY game… :unamused:

We need more relieving penalties so Robbie and Benji can shank the touchfinders and make 6 metres.
Obviously our esteemed coach has not drummed pythagoras into our heroes when explaining why 30m is better than 6m.

We control the ball and stop the drop ball and stupid mistakes we will win… Souths are big and tire easily, i've seen it in every game they've played this year. Possession will kill them many times this season...

The forwards need to do the same job they did against the Roosters, and if Farah plays off the back of that, straight up the middle, he will carve Souths up. Farah usually has strong games against the Bunnies because he is able to catch them out around the ruck and he needs to do similar this weekend, if the forwards and Farah fire, the Tigers should win. Have to get the completions up to start with though.

Have to play everything off Farah for the most part. Quicker men pairing in with forwards making hitups and just work them in the middle
