I reckon their are better sides than that imo of the best ever cricketers Gilchrist for Knott for starters ,Knott was the best keeper , but Gilchrist destroys him as a batsman I'd even rate Healy a better selection than Knott

Secondly the quickies I'd have Lillee and Ambrose over Marshall

Barry Richards must of been extremely unlucky not to make the side My old man saw both Barry Richards and Sobers bat (his 132 in the tied test ) and rated Richards better batsman

Give us your thoughts ??

Of that list I've seen sachin, viv richards, and warne play live.

Maybe Akram too, can't remember. Also I only saw Viv when the Aussies were batting so doesn't really count.

Brian Lara is probably the best player I've seen live who isn't on that list.

ponting must kick himself some times, he was well on his way at the midpoint of his career but things sort of took a turn for the Benji from there.

What I can tell you is WG Grace had the best beard in cricket history without a shadow of a doubt.

I wonder whether they deliberately picked a couple of dodgy selections, just to get more people talking about the list as a whole.

Seriously though, all players picked were great players. You could probably pick another 20 players who were equally worthy. Its all hypothetical though. Its not like they are ever going to play a game together.

Any list without Mighty Queenslander Matthew Hayden is a rort!

I know I was taking the piss by mentioning Heath Streak, but now you've taken the joke too far Watto.

For the benefit of Watto I will add to my list.
Anyone named Dirk.
Anyone who has written a cookbook.

Oh, and professional number 11, taxi driver, and lady kliller, Ewen Chatfield MBE.

I'd go one further and say anyone that hocks insurance and air conditioners as well.

Tubby, Greigy and Big Max, come on down.

Talking of Big Maxy any truth to the rumour that Richie was on his mobile phone to Big Max when he had his accident

Supposedly Max was ringing Richie to let him know that he was rejoining the commentary team

I'm actually distantly related to Max

My Grandmothers brothers son as far as I have been told

Players unlikely from list

Gordon Greenidge
Michael Holding
Curtly Ambose
Brian Lara
Dennis Lillee
Adam Gilchrist
Glenn McGrath
Richard Hadlee
