How about any marquee back cause we don't really have one.
Nonsense.

We have Charlie Staines at a good time, he hasn't exploded yet but the games I saw at Penrith...
Staines is a Marquee back..

Also:
Marquee back's are not the problem.
Defence Defence, Defence.

We were soft all 2022. 2023, defence/structure/teamwork.

If we were to sign someone, I would like us to sign a tackling/wressle coach.

We have not been feared as a defensive unit since we merged and that is our biggest problem and always has been, it is also very rarely our defense has even been respected.
Let's hope 2023 starts to bring about the change that the club needs

Nope... Sorry...

Attack and ball movement is Sheens' go... Score more than them as he's been quoted

I'd say "We have not been feared as a defensive unit since McCracken was speared in 2000." That moment ruined what might have been.

Since this is a wish list, and not at all based in reality - as for outside backs I would really love someone like:
Farnsworth or Staggs even Lomax (under the right guidance)
Manu, Teddy or RTS (maybe)

Farnsworth and Moses would be good.

But if Stains and Laurie don't aim up I'd go for Blake Taafe for a cheapie from South's. Played really well when Mitchell was out. Goalkicker as well

Manu - top pick but Valintine Holmes would be more achievable both cover fullback and transition to centre at the back end of his 3yr (1 Mil) + 2yr MO ($650) and 80% goal kicker

Mitch Moses / half ticks all boxes 80% goal kicker 4yr + 1yr MO (1.1mil)

and if all else fails all in...
Williams / Welsby England first choice combination playing together in the NRL. Less dollars but may do the same job?

Poor McCracken, man that guy was one tough defender.

I do remember a game us vs Melbourne where we won 6-4.
We can coach for defence, Sheens can coach that way. Just our focus often goes to fast footy.

We get the big D right, then we can play good attack. I think that's why in the earlier years Parra had the monkey on us, they could play fast too and defend. Thankfully now it's just a bashfest between our two clubs.

Seen McCracken out and about at night a few times an his game against the glamours attack wasn’t as sound. But they did employ the gang tackle technique against him.

I remember Sheens for the 2010 semis employed an attacking D game. The change was noticeable and i liked it.
