Kids breathe sigh of relief as Woolworths promise to restock Aussie Album

GOOD news for parents and their kids who missed out on the Aussie Animals Activity and Collector's Album as Woolworths announced today that the hugely popular activity book will be restocked in Woolworths stores from early December.

A reprint was ordered after thousands of customer requests flooded in last week for the sold out album.

General Manager of Marketing for Woolworths supermarkets Jess Gill said they have been "overwhelmed" by the popularity of the album.

"Over the past four weeks we've given away tens of millions of free Aussie Animals trading cards, providing school kids with fun facts and information on creatures great and small," she said.

Woolworths worked alongside Taronga Zoo to launch the Aussie Animals program that was designed to get children interested in talking about Australia's unique wildlife.

For every $20 spent in store, customers received a free pack of four cards which featured fun facts and information on animals.

Ms Gill said customers should keep their eyes peeled for another wild event this Christmas at Woolies with some extra special collectables on the way.

Although today marks the official end to the trading card program, parents can head to the Aussie Animal Swap Zone on the Woolworths Facebook page, to track down those cheeky cards they are missing.

The additional Aussie Animals Activity and Collector's Albums will be available at Woolies for $5 each or two for $8.
