X-Blades gone....Anniversary jersey recalled

Due to an error in production, the 2014 Wests Tigers 15th Anniversary event jersey has been recalled immediately. The Club has had discussions with the NRL and believe the recall is justified in this circumstance.

The error is outside of the control of Wests Tigers, however the Club is taking the opportunity to apologise to Members and fans for this delay. Refunds will be provided for all purchases directly through the Wests Tigers official online store. The Wests Tigers Heritage Jersey will be available for sale the week of the 31 March.

Wests Tigers are in the process of appointing a new on-field supplier for the 2015 – 2018 seasons.

Yeah I got this email earlier, it sounds like xblades made some kind of mistake. It would have to be pretty big to end their association with the club. Did anyone actually receive one?

Possibly because magpie was screen printed on cuff (like 11-13) not shoulder… Drastic to re-call over that though. Must be underlying supply and contract matters between WT and X-blades. Possibly printed with bingo skips also.

I have a black jersey and I don't see any quality issues with it. The magpie is black/white and doesn't feel like it's screen printed and no Bingo skips advertising on it. I wish they would explain clearly what the issue is.

Recall only referring to anniversary jerseys, not any of the others. Eg black or orange

It could be matter of half of the magpie printed in orange.

Thats actually a good point, I believe a change in manufacturer led to the Gold Coast strip being changed ealier than NRL guidlines allow.

Its because several of the names were mispelt. Not talking just one or 2 at least a dozen. Examples Jeff Lima was "Je Lima" Andrew Fifita was "Fifa". Laffranchi was spelt wrong along with a host of others. Poor form on X Blades end.

You'd imagine the club would, due to the fact the jersey was designed by a fan.

Wonder who we'll go with. Hopefully Canterbury or Kooga. They might be able to tone down gold/orange.

Not the first time it has happened though. Remember a couple of years ago a WT footy with players signatures had 3 players names wrong. Don't remember all of them but their was definately Black Ashford.

This. Standard business practice to have to approve any work from designers before publication. If we requested the updates and they forgot = X Blades to disappear off the face of the earth. If its our negligence then whoever responsible should put their hand up and admit that they're crap at their job and have poor ATD!
