Firstly…...not interested in Qld....we know whoever they pick, they will be hard to beat after 8 successful years.

NSW though...

1\. If Hayne is not picked at fullback then NSW donot deserve to win SOO. Hayne is by far the best and most inform NSW fullback, he has to play fullback, no questions. We cannot accomodate Dugan just for the sake of it.

2\. Centres....Jennings and Morris....both in good form.
3\. Wingers.....Morris & either Richards/Tupou/Jorge Taufua ( all three capable of the job imo ).

5/8.... James Maloney
Half.... Mitchell Pearce

Lock:................ Gallen
2nd Rowers....... Beau Scott & Ryan Hoffman
Front Rowers......Tamou & Woods
Hooker...............Farrah

Reserves: Gidley or John Sutton
Watmough
Merrin
Tolman

Obviously Bird is suspended & both fifita & Cordner are injured.

On form, I don't know if we have a better side than that.

Gidley is playing hooker atm with newcastle and with his previous experience at fullback it gives us coverage in case of an injury. Sutton also brings alot to the halves and forwards and IMO would do well in the contest.

Others pick themselves pretty much on form

Have not considered Lewis as he's been off for a long time and on his efforts to date is still a fair way off his best. Probably a bit unfair to put him in SOO ATM IMO.

In the end though....don' care who we choose as long as we win SOO.

Bit of talk up here that Guerra might get run off the bench for Qld

Mal wasn't happy with Papaalis form this season ,that's why he played Qld Cup a few weeks ago

IF NSW picks the right side they could give Qld trouble , I don't think people understand how much we will miss Thaiday

Does anyone know when the team is announced? IIRC it's halftime in tonights game?

Think that's still the case

Hoping that we catch the side after watching Manly get stuck into the Knights

I have a sneaking suspicion Newcastle will give Manly a hard time with no Stewart, Foran or Lyon.

Oh and on Guerra, he wouldn't let Queensland down. He's no Thaiday, but you could pick worse than him.

Hodko & J Reynolds will be NSW halves which is fantastic!

I wanted A Reynolds but he has been struggling. No more Pearce yay! When Brooks is ready he will take over Hodko.

Hayne will be fullback.

Can't wait

To be honest, Sammy's absence will be cancelled out by Bird's. Whilst I think NSW have more back row depth, Bird goes to another level when he wears the sky blue.

I think NSW are hedging their bets a bit, almost looking at this year with game I & game III up north as write offs, so lets change the guard now with a view to next year and new halves having a years exp already
I think we'll see the Dogs pair there tomorrow

NSW need to avoid their losing culture ridden gronks such as Gallen, Kidly, Watmough, etc. Need to inject new blood and build to the future. Avoid the stale losers. Teams as follows…

1\. Hayne
2\. Tupou
3\. Jennings
4\. Hopoate
5\. Mansour
6\. J Reynolds
7\. Hodkinson
8\. Woods
9\. Farah

3\. Jennings
4\. Morris
5\. Tupou
6\. Reynolds
7\. Hodkinson
8\. Grant
9\. Farah
10\. Tamou

12\. Scott
13\. Gallen

14\. Woods
15\. Watmough
16\. Tolman
17\. Hoffman
18\. T. Sims

If Cordner is definitely out, then I'd put Hoffman in the run on side and Tariq Sims on the bench. I like my side a whole lot better than what they will probably end up selecting

No point me picking a Qld side since it's already been chosen.

While I don't rate Thaiday for his general play and contribution, I find he has an almost unique ability to lift Queensland with some of his runs. In games where NSW have the upper hand and Queensland are looking beat, Thaiday takes the ball and runs headlong into the defence. It doesn't matter if he gets through or gets pushed back, he seems to lift the whole side. Not having him in the side will help NSW's cause.

All centres and wingers- tupou, Jennings, Morris and Morris all play on the left lol.

I'm guessing Daley will keep the roosters combo of Jennings tupou on the left and the Morris combo on the right.

Would like to see if Daley goes with 4 forwards on the bench or with gidley.
