The team won’t change next week Madge has gone with consistency early to build combinations. I think he’s right to do this as we built no momentum last year. Only change will be Mikalele back in for Eiso.

Sometimes short term pain is better in the long run as a few players are badly out of form namely Brooks, Mbye, Matulino. Grub replaced Marshall who was a weak link.
 
This game could once again be determined by goal kicking.
Also spend a lot of time on field goal practice in golden point scenarios as well.

Do you think Madge will hand the goal kicking duties over to someone else next week? If so, then who?

I must admit I'll be extremely unhappy if this is issue not addressed in some way - maybe start with Marsters but have a back up take over as soon he misses his first attempt, or just try someone else althogether?

The guy's confidence is shot, but I don't think making him practice all week is going to help - he's not the best kicker in the first place. You can't force someone to have talent, it's either there or it's not.

We can't afford to go into games with this handicap all the time, otherwise we may as well just kiss the top 8 goodbye now.

Ill have a look Tuesday but i doubt Maguire is ready to make the big changes he needs to put people in their place.

Aside from that id love to see Gamble get a go. He really couldnt do any worse than repeatedly kick on the 3rd tackle and choke and miss field goals.

Need 4 forwards on the bench. It's what made us great the first two games.
Having a winger there is just wrong.
Thompson should be at fullback and Mbye out. Bring in McQueen off the bench and give him a crack over MCK
 
I’d give Oliver Clark if he plays well in one more Reserve grade game after he comes back from injury. Think he deserves a chance, he’s been playing really well in the Canterbury cup and think it would help to have that extra big body.
