hearing Naden's back this week. would have Doueihi over Latu at 7 for his kicking game pending fitness. Sukkar on the left edge meaning minimal disruption makes sense and he won't let anyone down. Bird gives us cover on the edges from the pine and Latu for mine should be getting reps at 13, while Sione gets a blowout in Cup.

Interesting re Naden that would be a bonus over Faatape.
Probably prefer Sukkar off the bench with Bird starting in your line up.

massive bonus. hopefully he's right to go.

I think we really missed Bird in the middle yesterday and would have him coming off the bench as per his normal role. that said, with Latu there there's less reliance. hoping Samuela's fine and right to go, but just thinking about what would cause the least disruption.

Yeah, true. Sukkar is a big body like Sam so there is every chance Benji would go with that to have less overall change. I feel like Sione needs more time not less. But maybe long minute stint in Reggie’s wouldn’t hurt.
Porter an option instead of Sukkar?

Porter's been atrocious to start the year in Cup, plus he's been playing on the right. Sukkar's been relatively quiet but his yardage carries are good and he does his job defensively. I'd be leaning towards him.

I'd be resting Sam jr that's 2 weeks in a row he's looked proppy on that leg, don't want an early injury against the Broncs.

Luai will take the 1 match ban I think.

With some luck, Benji picks Latu Fainu to start the game in the halves with Galvin.

Fainu scored a try not long after he came on the field against the Warriors and did something similar last year with his first touch vs Manly @ Leichardt.

There's something about Galvin that doesn't quite sit right with me. He overplays his hand and makes some stupid decisions. I actually think he'd benefit from a few games in reggies, problem is our reggies suck, it will hurt his pride and impact contract discussions.

I think Latu reads the game better. He seems to take fewer risks and waits for the right opportunity (which can also make him a little bit robotic). But I think this will improve the more time he gets in the NRL.

This is interesting.

I'm anticipating AD & Sam Fainu to miss with the 6-day turnaround and travel.

Hoping Skelton is right to go as he played a stormer against the Broncs last year for the Dogs. You know how some players seem to play well against certain clubs, hopefully that's him.

I think Benji will stick with Sione Fainu on the edge with his simple key focus - line speed & effort. Even though Bird is arguably the better option, I also believe he brings more value as a bench middle & to cover backline injuries.

Sukkar to be saved for the last 25 mins unless injury requires him earlier. Fingers crossed Naden gets up as we all know he performs well fresh off a break!

I like it amid the circumstances. I think it's probably wishful thinking that I have AD there, but who knows what might happen.

Wins, even though the ref is extremely blatantly biased in favouring the home team with all refeering decisions.

Didnt take too long for our depth to be tested. Roster turnover takes time and we clearly are lacking at least three forwards I'd say not to mention backs. This flows down to NSW cup where noone is putting their hand up to be picked.

Our biggest strength this year has been our impact off the bench, but with recent injuries / suspension we will lose that.

We can't afford to have 4-5 players i the top 30 that contibute nothing (e.g Matamua and Tumeth). Faatape isn't even top 30 and played way more than some top 30 players. Does not happen at any other club.

I am however pleased with decisions by management and have hope that it's only a matter of time until we get a top 30 that can actually contirubute.

What has happened to samual he is playing well below last years efforts, he just seem interested to me , where last year he was all over the place

Assuming Doueihi is out and Samuela is playing. If Samuela is out I would start Sione at backrow and bring Kit Laulilii onto the bench.

Started making my teamlist but realised there are just far too many variables depending on availability from players either injured this round or returning from injury.

I will say that I would put Sukkar ahead of Porter in the 2nd row pecking order. Kit Laulili'i would also be my next "impact" man into the 17 should Bird be required to fill a centre spot or if any other middle is down.
