Best possible blues team from 1990-now

I was bored so I thought who are the best blues players that have played since 1990 and this is the team I have come up with. I had most difficulty picking my centres, the bench utility and who to leave off the reserves bench. Interesting to note that Gallen is the only current blue I could find a spot for

1. Tim Brasher
2. Rod Wishart
3. Paul McGregor
4. Matt Gidley
5. Andrew Ettingshausen
6. Laurie Daley
7. Andrew Johns
8. Steve Roach
9. Benny Elias
10. Glen Lazauras
11. Ben Kennedy
12. Brad Clyde
13. Brad Fitler
14. Greg Florimo
15. Paul Sironen
16. Paul Gallen
17. Paul Harragon

Honourable mentions- Menzies, Geyer,Mullins, Minnichello, Lewis, Terry Hill, Fitzgibbon, Hindmarsh, Carroll, Fairleigh

Isn’t it meant to be 1990 - now?

Did Kenny and Jack play state footy in the 90’s?

Ray Price playing in the 90’s?

Isn’t it scary You guys manage to fit in all of your stars

Lockyer wouldn’t make a Qld starting team
Thurston wouldn’t make the side
Hodges or Inglis wouldn’t make the side

Qld’s post 1990 side would destroy NSW

The current QLD side would just about beat any team that ever played in the history of the game I reckon. Absolutely dripping with class. The results speak for themselves.

My apologies…I misread the title for some reason my brain read 1980

Well that’s my best side…my post 90’s side would be similar plus a few guys who aren’t as good. Lol…

As for the QLD side, very tough to pick. I agree with Happy except for Ingliss. He makes my side somewhere as he always carves up. It would be a very good player that makes way for him but I would make it happen.

I agree that nsw would be beaten, but I dont think they would be destroyed. And I honestly think the nsw pack would certainly hold it’s own. Qld would gain the advantage in the centres and that’s about it imo.
Lockyer would make my starting team for sure, at fullback. And I think inglis would be there in either the centres or in the wing, also thurston is probably a better halfback than langer. Just my opinion

I think the 1990s NSW side would beat the current QLD one, or come very very close. We had creativity with Stuart, Johns, Fittler and Daley. A tough brutal pack that could defend for long periods, plus NSW greatest ever Origin coach.

Whilst the current QLD side is one of the best ever, the current NSW side is nothing on previous sides. I mean Pearce has nothing on Stuart, Johns and Toovey, same with Carney against Fittler and Daley. Farah/Ennis against Elias? Same with Mannah, Galloway and Weyman vs Lazarus, Harragon, Carroll and Roberts.

I would go:

1. Tim Brasher
2. Rod Wishart
3. Laurie Daley
4. Matt Gidley
5. Andrew Ettingshausen
6. Brad Fittler
7. Andrew Johns
8. Glenn Lazarus
9. Ben Elias
10. Paul Harragon
11. Paul Gallen
12. Ben Kennedy
13. Brad Clyde

14. Geoff Toovey
15. Robbie Kearns
16. Shaun Timmins
17. Steve Menzies

18th man: Craig Wing

Honourable mentions: Buderus, Bailey, Hindmarsh, Fitzgibbon, MacDougall, Stuart, Minichiello, Cooper, Mullins, Furner, Roach, Roberts, Carroll, Girdler, Barrett, and McGregor.
