I know this may seem a little crazy with all the players leaving but there could be a rational explanation. In my opinion this could be the reason why everything is happening very quick without no real explanation
First off Sheens has signed with the Warriors but won’t be announced until after the test matches are done. Everyone is saying the direct quotes he said yesterday how he has unfinished business etc. means he isnt leaving but lets be realistic would he say anything else. of course his going to say that so that he can finalise all the paper work with both clubs before it is all announced.
After this has happened the Tigers have made contact with Mick Potter or Nathan Brown or some other coach and agreed to terms with them to start in the summer. This coach whoever it may be may have already had his eye on the role and gone through the roster and identified areas where players were needed and not needed. with the club being linked reportedly to a hand full of players could this be a culmination of the new coaches ideas etc.
It would not surprise me at all if this has in fact happened and its just a matter of waiting for the right moment for this all to happen and fall into place

That would make somewhat more sense.

Was also thinking this.
Not that far out there and if it is true I’d accept what’s happened until we know more and see how next year pans out. -
it could also explain why a few other things have happened such as miller resigning when reportedly he doesnt get along with sheens and obviously sheens doesnt rate him highly or else he would have used him more. this could of been in the works for a while
-
Short term pain. Long term gain is how I’m thinking right now based on some of the talent coming through the NYC, along with the players already bought.

Here is an idea Highno isn’t worth 3 yrs in the nrl and beau while a good player as a winger isn’t where we want to be spending our cap with koriobete, noafoluma both stars of the future ( if not also now) .

Nice thoughts, Bazz, but very idealistic. Remember this is the Wests Tigers - nothing will change with regards to the powers that be. We couldn’t be that lucky!
-
yeah boon boon i agree mate

Good post Bazza… Alot of that makes sence!
Beau was passed over by Brown a few years ago, hence he ended up at the Tigers and Brown always likes a true Halfback like Matthew Head, so Miller would fit that mould.
I always felt if Sheens was gona leave for NZ, it wouldnt be announced until after the Test Match.

Like your thinking Bazzinator out there but realistic could be the post of 2012!

Agreed. What else could be happening.

perhaps the salary cap issues the tigers apparently have could be due to them paying out the remainder of Sheens’ contract?? But I do like your idea Bazz, and I hope its true. Would love to have Nathan Brown coaching at the Tigers!

Just remembered that as soon as I posted….my bad!!

the salary cap issues could be a club cover up so all this player movement seems like it is externally forced remember three months ago we offered luke lewis a big figure probably close to 350k - 400k that money hasnt been wasted on something or have i missed something in between then and now. Everything that is happening could be seen as a club in turmoil but until we know the full reasons behind everything we might be looking way to much into the surface and not everything that happens underneath
