Our only hope of beating the Storm will be to go back to playing touch-footy Tim Sheens style. Just continually throw the ball around and try to confuse Melbourne. They eat up teams that play a structured style simply because they are the best at winning an arm-wrestle game of footy.
Just play hot potato with the ball and hope that the passes stick, the team that has given the Storm the most problems in recent seasons has been NZ Warriors and that is the way they managed to beat the Storm on a few occassions.
If the passes don’t stick then we will get slaughtered by 50, but if we try and play the way we have played this season so far we will get beat by that score probably anyways. Worth a shot. -
what about when they got the ball?
-
everyone go mental and go for the hailmary intercept pass :crazy
-
It seemed to me both Saints and Warriors ditched the structure this weekend and played what they saw
-
Could be worth a shot.

errr no we tried that in 2005 and got flogged just before the semis, the Storm love teams that go sidways which is what Marshall does and they will compress the defence and eat us up

Most impressive thing for me from Rabbits/Warriors game was when Warriors got to the lead the Rabbits didn’t pannick and change their structure in attack , trusted what they had trained/planned…and got the 2 points.

I reckon we want to find some wingers if we’re going to try that. Yeah that plan definately requires wingers.
Do we have any I’m not aware of? Is Koro’s ankle better than expected? Tuqiri’s arm finally clear to play? Utai found some form?
