I am actually optimistic, with the changes potter has made this week.
For 2 main reasons( the second is more exciting)
1- Anasta is playing in his best position, and will have the experience and the EGO to call for the ball when needed. This is where I believe miller may not have had the miles under his belt to warrant this.
This should split the ball playing between 3 instead of 2 and a half. Taking his long kicking game into account he can be quite an asset if I trouble in our own half.
2- we finally have a large team to play, moving Anastasia to half and miller out increases size. Adding Bodene to the starting side adds some mongrel.
And
The most exciting part our bench.
BMM over 110
Bell 100-110
Ava 115
And eddy. That’s a big bench, and hopefully will be able to hurt a few teams, whether physically or field position.
This as we all know especially under sheens was never our strong suit, but we are now starting to look like a bigger and stronger forward pack.

I’m not too optimistic but im looking forward to the challenge

I think it is our best team so far this year and I like that Potter has made some changes. It is a really good bench,
I also think we need to start with getting our best or as close to our best pack out there and go from there. I think getting Anasta out of the forwards makes our pack a lot better. Anasta might also go well in the halves - I’m not optimistic but I think he can play there a lot better than in the backrow.

i cant wait till they play.
Im licking my lips & smacking my gums.
Win or lose - im there. -
Against Melbourne? No.
Look forward to next week though. -
It never fails to cheer me up: Whenever I have lost all hope and some people on here can find reason to be optimistic. Hats off.

The best thing about it all is that Potter has recognised our weaknesses early and is actually trying to do something about it before the season is too far gone. Old Sheensy pretended not to see the weaknesses and just kept picking the same under-performing players week in, week out til we all went nuts!
-
I agree with steve that this is probably as good a team as we can name and hopefully Anasta may do better in the halves because he has shown precious little so far.But for all that if we get within 12 points of the storm i think we will have done well.

great point Flippedy.
The majority of the forum they cant see this judging from all the threads unless it is that same one person posting all those threads. -

I think this is a good move by potter and address our problems,Stabilizing our halfs,
Increasing size in forwards.Win win

@ how we measure up at the best team in the comp in their turf.
Bring on Monday.

Optimistic or pessimistic doesnt matter. Its going to probably be our toughest game all season, baring us make the semis. It’s a true test. I believe you learn a lot more form a loss than a win. But geee, it would be a bloody ripper of a Tuesday if we actually do win. I’ll join Gallen walking nude.
-
Not going to be easy, that’s for sure. Like last week though, never say never. I marked last week and this week down as losses and thinking of our bigger picture. I believe we’re like Parra but with Benji and Robbie. Going to need to be patient this season.
-
Well I will be surpised if it works. Old Man Anasta has played one game at half in his life…Bodene how many games has he played in the top grade 2012/13 ? and he starts against Storm !
Our left wing will be under severe pressure all night…and I am sure Moltzen will get plenty of chances to show us he has learnt to catch the high ball
If we get within 20 I will be happy…sorry to be a pessimist.

At least changes are being made, good to see. I do like the bench and the fact that players are getting rewarded for good form. I just hope Teddy T isn’t scarred by being played out of a position against a ruthless team like the Storm
