Its Friday night again & guess what -Brisbane are on again.
Is this doing anyone else’s head in.
Isnt this too much folks?
Why is Brisbane rammed down our threats every damn Friday night.
Now i hope they dont make the 8
Dont get me wrong though - Brisbane is a beautiful part of the world.
Thats a different story. I’m talking footy. -

Good luck to them. They have been one of the most successful clubs both on and off the field in the modern era.
We should aspire to dominate the Sydney market such that we are on channel 9 every Friday night.
-
Thats true, but there’s 15 other teams for crying out loud.
-
Sadly with Sam suspended we cannot call it Thaiday Night Football.

Yes, but they should not have a right to be on free-to-air television. This is the problem with the “what about me?” culture in rugby league. The only sport where a successful enterprise moves ahead of the back, but the sport brings it back to the pack, not bring the pack up to the leader.
-
what about the fans?
-
The NRL should just bite the bullet and export the Storm to Queensland.
-
Brisbane is the league capital of the world
If we had a 90000 stadium we would fill that for SOO as well
When Sydney games start drawing 40000 consistantly on Fridays we can look at it then
Before someone says Brisbane is a one city team ,that isn’t their fault
-
does that mean we have to watch them every Friday night?
Gary Bakerloo along the same lines as you Happy.
I just dont understand it.
There’s gotta be another way. -
Unfortunately because of the following and good ratings in qld, they get prime time

Its because a QLD team always has to be involved in one of the games on a Friday night. Out of the 3 QLD teams the Broncs would get the highest ratings so its a no brainer.

There’s gotta be another way.
There was a wonderful opportunity to fix it all in 1998/99, however club self interest and a lack of vision destroyed all possibility of an altruistic outcome that invested for the long term growth of the game. The game could have had two teams in Brisbane, less teams in inner Sydney and teams in new markets.
Changes are even harder now with Cronulla a good test for the Commission and new CEO.
-
Wears have 4-5 Friday night games in a row soon followed by another Sunday fta game. We get our share of prime time tv…probably not a good thing atm.

I’m sure when Parra had a Friday game a few weeks back, some Broncos fans were rubbing their eyes and complaining there was too much blue on the new guernsey.
-
The point is you would be getting a Qld side anyway and the Titans and especially the Cowboys don’t want Friday games due to the tourism aspect
The only time Titans draw big crowds on Fridays is the local derby games v Broncos and NQC
