    Wests Tigers injury update

The casualty ward at Wests Tigers has become bigger with four more players added to the rehabilitation list.

Forward Bodene Thompson, winger Matt Utai, lock Liam Fulton, and full-back James Tedesco were unavailable through injury for selection for Sunday’s match against Penrith at Centrebet Stadium.

Thompson rolled an ankle at training last week and is not expected back until Round 17. Utai has a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for until Rd 19.

Tedesco (leg) and Fulton (knee) should be available for the round 14 match against Brisbane.

Guessig Meaney is the number 1 this week

  • Can’t take a trick this year…

  • Farlow and Paul Simona not named in lower grades

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tedesco play

  • Meaney not named in NSW Cup. I think we have our FB

  • Banned

I feel for Bodene. Slipped a few months ago on my mate’s lawn and rolled my ankle badly. Can’t run the same.

  • This is BS. If alarm bells haven’t been ringing at the club by now then something is wrong.

What are we doing differently that has left us with this injury toll? We need to change, because this isn’t right.

Is it the staff? Is it our methods? Is it our equipment or rehab? Nutrition? WHAT?

  • Interesting times. A position we generally have some depth in is tested. Lets see how these boys go
Panther’s pack will be a challenge for these boys the way they are playing. Hopefully they step up

  • A team announcement some time today would be good

  • :brick: The injury list just goes on & on & on. We need backups real quick.

  • ……the rest…us

  • Oh for f’s sake.

dont we have a medical team or what , we have the bye and still have players out, this needs urgent attention by potter.

  • Well if Potter is still the coach next season this is the first thing that has to be addressed after the last game of the season. All of the medical staff and fitness trainers have to be shown the door …the favourite son mentality has to end !Some injuries are no ones fault but it seems there are serious problems internally with soft tissue and the like ,training techniques have to change. This season is a disaster on the injury front .

  • Man we can’t build any type of momentum with constant changes. Is it Concord oval, is it the famous gym,is it Sheenius with his voodoo doll???

  • This is beyond coincidence now. For 4 years we have had absolutely horrid injury lists. A complete clean out of all the medical staff is needed. Maybe it’s bad luck, but we won’t know unless we try.
