What a coach

Mick potter is doing a sensational job and deserves a heap of praise for what he is doing with our team ,our line speed has improved and our defence is heaps better than previous years , how we’ll will he go when we play at full strength , top job mr potter

Our discipline is still a huge issue. We give away A LOT of penalties, and a lot of them are just plain dumb and lazy. Need to get it out of our game

For me the jury is out on Mick Potter. The reckoning will come when he has the team he wants and only then. I just hope the board gives him the time.

Some poor discipline penalties every week for sure

It’s taken a bit of time but I think the players have finally embraced him. The job his doing with the depleted squad is very encouraging. He did only have a month before season kick off with the team so with a full off season together and no drama 2014 is looking good imo

Seeing some progress but still convinced he has it. Judgment reserved until the end of the year.

only about 15 missed tackles this week. compared to our average of over 30 i think

Im a big fan on these first few rounds, The guy has ha everything bad that can happen come his way.

HE hasn’t sooked or complained simply soldiered on.

I would be looking at an extra year soon at the very least.

I can definitely see the potential but his still working without his own staff and players. I reckon once he soughts that all out super coach here we come. Go Mick

Yeah he has had everything go wrong this year so I am not knocking him but I wouldnt be singing praise like that just yet.
Our attack has gone backwards under his reign and our defence for the most part is as bad as ever. Like I said though, he hasnt had a full squad so jury is out and will be until next season at the earliest.

i still think he was wrong about miller.

however, i’ve liked how he has brought in a prop for a prop, centre for a centre fullback for a fullbac.

i remember he put bodene in the centres once instead of simona and i think it was lyon? who completely outplayed him. potter didn’t do that again

i think he is addressing our problems that he told us about when he started…
that said, i still dont know what his solution is for the halves. guess we’ll have to wait and see

Most of our penalties come from inexperienced players struggling with the speed of the game at the ruck.

I love the fact he is giving the youngsters a go, and in the face of the tough situation, looking towards the future.

In season’s past we’ve seen the club make some awful reactive decisions to injuries etc - the return of Skando (three times?), Cashmere, Anasta etc. Who knows who would have been pulled out of retirement this year had Sheens still been at the helm?

Guys like Sue, Nofo, Buchanan and Ava have really been shining stars in an otherwise pretty dull year. Many didnt taste a win in first grade until their 6th or 7th game, and whist there was every possibility they’d give up, it’s a credit to the coach to keep at it with them. We’re starting to see benefits now, I can only imagine what these players will be like in 12 months time.

I’m also a fan of the retention and (start of) recruitment efforts we’ve made this year. Fulton, Farah and Galloway all locked up long term is a solid boost. You can see Potter is doing his best to assemble the team he wants, and with the addition of Taupau next year, I can see us really starting to click.

Solid work, Coach!
