Am I Doing Something Wrong?

Dear Colleagues

While I am a keen reader of this forum, I don’t submit many comments.

Some of my comments seem to take an awful long time to appear, while occasionally, some posts which have been accepted for moderation, disappear into the ether altogether, never to be seen again.

For example, I last submitted a comment on a topic on the morning of 31st August. I checked regularly to see if it had been posted, but it did not appear. Eventually I received an email to say it had been approved on 9th September.

When I checked my post it had been inserted into the thread dated 31st August.

Are these sorts of delays usual? Or, am I doing something wrong?

I hasten to add, I don’t mean to imply any criticism of the moderators of this forum, who I think do a marvelous job.

I am just curious.
