Which junior will shock us next year?
-
This year many juniors have unexpectedly made a name for themselves, Simona, Nofoaluama and Seamunafangi amongst them. Who do you think will step up next year?
Half of you will disagree with me but I am taking a wild guess, Delouise Hoeter, he is bloody impressive and can see him getting a shot and making the position his. Another I think will also be impressive for us next year is Nathan Brown who I think will be our Mark O Meley next year with his powerful hit ups and strong defence. Finally I think Kurtis Rowe will also be very impressive for us if he gets a shot at first grade next year, he is going to be in our top 25 and I definitely think he will take advantage of this opportunity, I hope he goes well as Teddy is off contract next year and we will at least have a decent backup if he decides to leave. -

There are a host of juniors looking good for next year. I really hope they all kick on.

Marion Seve has massive potential. Whether he can make the transition from schoolboys all the way to first grade is another thing. It’s a big wrap but he really reminds me of a young Israel Folau.
Another is Manuel-Lioleavave. Big backrower who runs brilliant lines, good passing game and hits hard.
J.J Felise (prop) and Kelly Tate (lock) are a couple of others with potential although I’m not sure if contracted to Holden Cup next year?
All from the Keebra system.
I think Brown, Fiagatusa, Lovett, Brooks, Moses and Rowe are the best from the current 20’s squad.

The one’s that have kicked on this year have been somewhat predictable. Many were calling for Teddy, Simona, Nofo to be promoted. The one’s that were truly surprising were Ava, Sue and Sirro (if he’s a rookie)
Next year I think Fiagatusa, Brown, Lovett and Kurtis will shine if given a proper chance.
Haven’t seen Seve play, but I’d be surprised if he got a run next year without massive injuries again. Hope to see more of him in the 20’s or maybe even 9s comp if there’s a couple of backs still recovering like Tedesco from the RLWC and Simona.

So many like Rowe. I just dont see it. He’s ok but there’s just something there that i dont rate. I’d be surprised if he ends up having an NRL career

I reckon the kid who will stand tall in 2014 will be Mason Farrell…
While he will probably only play in the 20’s, I reckon this kid has a good footy head on his shoulders and was just as important to last years SG Ball Team as Moses.
Once he gets back fully fit, look for him to lead our NYC Squad (hopefully) to a tilt at the title.

Matt Mulcahy. Everyone is talking about Austin,Anasta and Moltzen for the 5/8 postion next year but i reckon this guy is a bolter for it. He knows when to chime in and when the team needs him he always brings out his bag of tricks. Also Manaia Cherrington. this kid will be our number 9 for the next ten years after Farah.(Watch this space) If i am wrong about both of them then you can crucify me all you like. both will have great NRL careers. Ps. i can’t wait to see this post in years to come.

Why not Luani tigersman? he looks good. Haven’t seen anything in Manaia to suggest he’ll be there for 10 years (nor in Luani). Think they are both decently good hookers.
-
If they remain in system and can keep clear of injury I would say Paul Simona & Jarrad Szczudlo will make a real push at stakign their claim

I forgot about Luani…. i think Luani will be in the Back-row for us but you never know Luani could be the next big thing i haven’t seen enough of him to tell you the truth i might of gone alittle overboard with the ‘’ He will be our hooker for the next ten years’’ quote but i do thing he will be a very very good hooker in the coming years.

Luff hasn’t got back to 100% since his ACL. I don’t know if he’s signed or what but I think he’s the second best dummy half at the club based on one NSW cup game I saw him carve up in. Cherrington has a little more x-factor in attack but Luff has more composure and is a better defender. Luani is just solid.

Yep. I think Brown will be good value once he fully recovers from his pec tear too.

X2 I have seen them all play enough to judge, Luff is my favourite to be honest but Cherrington is not far behind. I don’t really rate Luani, If memory serves me right though, Luani is the only one of them in the top 33.
