What new changes would we like....

  • Having read many posts on the forum, what would all you nice people like to see change within the Wests Tigers club, for me…
    1…good strong leadership from coach
    2…new training facilities upgrade
3…very competent S&C staff and facilities
4…Stability, a priority from players to management.
5…and finally an end to the we against them mentality,we are one
    Wests Tigers now and forever…

To me this will be the start of something great if we all work together and hopefully the new board will do the same in the interest of the CLUB for a much enjoyable and fruitfull future… 🙏 :sign:

  • Good bloody defense.

A “don’t give up” attitude from ALL the players.

  • First post sums it up. At the moment I’m a bit over all the crap that occurred in the backend of the season.

  • i just want the club to stop being such a delinquent internally and for the nrl side to play like they did at the start of the season, but for the whole year!!

  • I’ve said it before but a general change in play style. Fulton is a club legend but I’d like to see us move away from that style of player and bring in big, hard-running, offloading second rowers. I think Blair/Sue could cover the middle while providing more grunt up front.
Halves on both sides of the field, and fast, good finishing wingers. As much as I love Patty I wouldn’t have him back, he’s just not a strong finisher and I wouldn’t back him running for the corner and getting the ball down in mid air. I’d take the likes of David Simmonds, Winterstein/Feldt, Fusitua or Feki.

And then, of course, stopping the in house squabbles, fixing our injury problem and getting the boys playing like a team.

  • All of the above. You pretty much covered everything TT.

Can any of them kick goals, 50,60 metre dropout kicks, field goals from a distance etc?

Nope, but that’s nothing that can’t be remedied by some specialist coaching. Virtually every drop out nowadays goes 50m, it’s a disappointment if it doesn’t. He’s a good goal kicker, but so is Feldt. The extra 2 that Pat adds is probably outweighed by the 4 that he costs sometimes too.
Not saying he’s not a good player, he’s a legend and I love the bloke, but in an ideal world I’d have a strong finisher with Austin/Moses/Sirro spending quality time with a kicking coach.

I simplified your request. Get a minor premiership and nothing else will matter.

  • A united strong take no crap board
A strong take no crap coach
Assistant coaches , fitler and other
Smart football manager who will have sponsors crawling all over us
CEO who runs the club and stays away from the footy side
Players who want to play for the tigers and where the jumper with pride and passion,

And maybe a key ring for the members who keep paying and getting very little lately , you know , we’re sorry type thing
