For those who missed it, Gaz was a feature story on NRL on Fox tonight. One of the things he spoke about was how much he is loving it here and how the original plan was to come over to the NRL for 3 years then head back home to finish his career. But he made a point in saying that he has given a little bit of thought to staying in Aust. longer than originally planned.
-
Yes….a little tinge of excitement…when I heard him say that…
Bubs an Aussie,he has to stay longer…
Can’t see him playing for anther NRL club…Loyal Wests Tiger…
-
Would be over the moon if he stayed a few more years with the tigers. He might not get the wraps some other players in the NRL do but IMHO he is in the best 10 players in the game (we are lucky enough to have 3 top 10 players at the tigers). A 2 or 3 year extension would be great for our club.

Yep, watched the piece it was great, definately my fav player at the club now, hopefully he will extend his contract!
For those that missed it, you can watch the full interview with Gareth and also Mark Flanagan on the FOX Sports website here:

It was a great little piece on the big man. Shows what a true champion he is off the field to go with his onfield heroics. The longer he stays at the club the better we will be.
-
We can only hope he too signs an extension, would be awesome!!!
-
Wests tigers best ever forward? I think so! (sorry skando)
-
fergiefurr - Farah’s a forward
Other than hookers though you’re probably right.
Hopefully by the end of this season it will be a close run thing between him & Big Kieth. -

Agree. Ellis is class. Hope he stays
-
I have been loving reading the paper lately with all the positive stories - come on WT, let me pick up a paper with a big headline saying Ellis is extending his contract! It will make my day

Don’t know about the money side. When Gareth is off contract in 2011, they should be lifting the cap. I would be interested to see the monetary comparison then, because I don’t think there will be that much difference.
The UK economy is in far worse shape than ours too with unfunded pension liabilities, much like the US. The public sector alone is underfunded to the tune of 85% of GDP. Only a matter of time before tax rates will be hiked considerably.

seriously, we need to start to think about re-signing gareth ellis. a vital cog in the forwards.
