With one game under his belt and most of the “Returning to League pressure” off Lote Tuqiri this week, how do you think the backline will go v the Chooks?
I think we played both left and right edges quite well in attack vs Manly with several breaks down each of the sides.
I definitley don’t like the prospect of watching Ayshford, Fitzhenry and Moltzen under the high ball. The Roosters loooove sending the ball into orbit! Kenny Dowall will swallow the highballs and will probably snag a hat-trick of four pointers.
In attack, i think our backline has a bit more potency with running plays, combination link ups and set plays. Benji’s wizardry will again be on show as he relishes these open, attacking affairs. Lawrence will be a huge factor on the left edge as the Chooks don’t ming throwing a long ball and an Intercept would see him go all the way. Farah will have to step it up a notch from the game v Manly, his creativity and direction of the players is crucial in this match.
Lote will surely be better second time round, and what a scary but amazing sight that will be! (He was very good on Monday Night.)
Note: I see a flurry of tries for him this match. (Toe to Toe with Kenny Dowell, 3 each)In order to win the match we need points, and plenty of them. I am sure we will leak a few coming off a hard slog out v Manly on Monday night but I also think we played better quality opposition and the Roosters played a bunnies side that was just out of sorts.

I think Tuqiri will have a rough second hit out. I hope he has a blinder.

we will do just fine, while the roosters played well i believe they will find it hard to penetrate our defense and our quick movement will find them out, i think we will win by a score of 32 - 10.
im pretty sure we have a pretty good record against brian smith coached teams of late to.
-
The Roosters will do two things this match. One they bomb away as we are suspect at the back and Two they will kick in behind Lote who last week was caught rushing infield.
-
Tough ask for Lote after playing in England two weeks ago to playing on Sunday in temps around 30 degrees. Hope he has a big game though!
-
This will be a very tough game for Lotto.
-
Im more worried about Moltzen……Smith will bomb him hard.
-
Very big game for Lawrence and Ayshford this week
-
Theyve now all seen what he can bring…probably be marked even more closely now

@smeghead:
Very big game for Lawrence and Ayshford this week
Why??
I rate them way in front of SKD and Graham.
-
Just think that they will have alot of traffic sent at them tomorrow and they will have to try and give as much protection as possible for their wingers under the high ball.
I think they are more than up to it but I just feel one of them will be tasked with containing and predicting Carney’s injection into the backline

Last year Moltzen dropped a few bomb in his first game as no1 but after that was very safe under the high ball. The chooks will bomb all day
-
Im not worried at all……they are both very good defenders and read the play well too.
I cant wait to see how the two ex-wingers handle the angles we throw at them.
Im sure Sheensie will have Bunji and co woring them overtime, especially off any set plays.
Very daunting for a bloke not used to defending in the centres to have Tuquiri,Lawrence,Ellis an Bunji coming at ya.
They are the ones that should be worried.
Im feeling scarily confident about this game.

Well that was their "master’ plan against souths, and thats all manly did against us.
But……Moltzen does look a bit iffy under the bomb, and that is a concern IMO.
