Apparently Raiders player Travis Waddell suffered a broken jaw last night against the Titans so he’ll miss the Tigers clash.
-
Damn…he brought nothing but errors the last time i saw him…guess that leaves Tongue at DH for 80, shoulnt trouble us.
Bronson will be up for a biggie and is playing well, Lozza & Spotty gotta be on their game, lotsa talk in D down our left -
He’s a very good little player. It’s definitely a plus for us that he is out, because it means Tongue (who is an awesome lock but very average hooker) will be at hooker for the game.

The raiders fans arn’t too confident:

yes he is out.
still have to defend well and play well to ensure the two points.
shut down Alan Tongue, and upset campese. -
The Raiders are always hard to beat at home - something about Bruce Stadium and those strange people/fans from that cold weird place. Off topic but this game should be in the bag if we play even close to Friday night. Hope we keep our heads (and hearts!)

I’m sorry - but who is travis waddell?
-
no great loss, he has potential but from what I’ve seen is a pretty average player.

Geez that canberra forum seems familiar. It’s like ours after a loss!

Waddell blow tough to take BRAD WALTER
March 30, 2010Raiders officials have expressed their disappointment at losing Travis Waddell for 10 weeks with a broken jaw while Gold Coast forward Bodene Thompson is set to escape with a three-match ban for the tackle that left the boom Canberra hooker requiring surgery.
It is the second time Thompson has been charged in three NRL appearances and the grade-five careless high tackle would have sidelined him for only two matches with an early plea if he did not have 70 carry-over points from the previous offence.
Should he unsuccessfully challenge the charge at the judiciary tomorrow night, Thompson will be suspended for four matches, but Raiders officials do not anticipate Waddell being back on the field for up to another two months.
‘‘We’ve very disappointed to be losing a good young player for a period of 10 weeks with a fracture on both sides of his jaw,’’ Canberra chief executive Don Furner said. ‘‘We’re very disappointed with the way it happened and very disappointed for Travis that he has to undergo surgery tomorrow to have both sides of his jaw wired.’’
The Titans themselves have lost skipper Scott Prince for six weeks with a broken thumb, and were last night undecided about whether to contest the charge or the grading of Thompson’s charge. Preston Campbell is expected to deputise for Prince at halfback with William Zillman taking over the fullback role.
The Raiders will welcome back NSW Origin forward Tom Learoyd-Lahrs for Sunday’s clash with Wests Tigers after he made a successful return from injury for feeder club Souths-Logan in the Queensland Cup.
And Knight Mark Taufua could miss one game after he was charged with striking in the 50th minute of the loss to Manly. He can escape a ban with an early guilty plea.

Of course. Everyone seems to return against us…

Travis Waddell was putting some brutal hits on the broncos in last weeks monday game. He makes some silly errors but does have a lot of potential.
-
I’m more worried about little Tom Leayroyd than Wadeell. Its not small guys that hurt us, its the big 'uns…

I’m sorry - but who is travis waddell?
exactly and who cares
Damn I was hoping we would be playing. Now the Raiders will field a bigger and stonger pack! We need some muscle to fight them in the trenches especially if wet. Looks like the kicking game will determine the end result. Do we have what is takes? I hope so!
