A shoe in apparently......

From the Wests Tigers website:

http://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2015/08/18/history_favours_visi.html

Some very interesting stats there. Amongst them all, I like these:

8 losses in a row for the Gummies coming off Monday night footy.

Farah has never lost to Gallen in 12 games.

Marty has never lost to the Gummies.

The Law of Averages surely says that the Gummies are specials. You can put your house on them.

Good week to grab them I reckon.

They have been up for a long time, getting flogged on Monday, I reckon we will get them a bit flat, hopefully we can convert that to a win.

you know what you’ll get from the sharks. with us its a bit more unknown. they are missing some size from their pack. if the named team plays i think we’re a massive chance. $3.25 or whatever we’re paying is huge value

I’ve noticed a bit of a different tact??? With the official site this week…
First a story on an opposition player being injured ( barba )… And now this…
Negging the opposition.
Different.

A shoe in what? The collective coit if we don’t take the Sharks seriously.

what size.???

I remember the days when WT absolutely ‘owned’ Cronulla - they could never beat us, no matter how well they were travelling. I think they were only 1 of 2 teams that we actually led in the head to head, the other being Canberra. Wasn’t all that long ago either, but things have changed now, unfortunately.

No confidence in the hype this year unfortunately a tough season.

We will smash them and be 12th!

You are always in with a big chance when we come up against the shire and most of the cards are pointing our way, short turn around etc. I just worry they play a very similar style of football that the Knights played last week, hard mobile forward pack led around by a quality no9 and that is where we struggle. I suppose it will all depend on if everyone picked to play actually starts the game.

It will be close, but I do not share the confidence of others

A long time ago they were very hard to beat at Cronulla on a Saturday night, and we were one of the first to do it regularly. During the Benji years we hardly lost to them.

Then again, I remember going to see them live a couple of seasons ago. It was the match where Beau gave Reddy a serve as he lay injured on the ground. Wish I’d stayed home.

I’m confident we’ll beat them. The short turnaround won’t help them and Taupau and Lawrence back brings a lot more energy to our forward pack.
