Wow 9 chose Sharks V Panthers for it’s Sunday game over Tigers V Souths. Nice
Definatley will not make the Newcastle game now. Friday traffic plus work = TV
-
unless fox picked it because titans vs broncs and dragons v dogs are the same week.
i heard it goes
Nine first two choices
Fox next two
Nine gets one
Fox last threeBut either way at least its on a sunday
-
Ooooo, Newcastle, Friday night……tempting. Would love to see what the new Stadium is looking like.
As for the Souths Vs. Wests game being televised by Fox Sports, I can only put that down to Ch 9 wanting to shut up the whining club CEO’s about the lack of free-to-air coverage certain clubs have received compared to others. Cronulla was one of them. But when you’re not winning games, you’re almost set to struggle for ratings because the brand is considered weak as cats…The public and viewers alike want to be able to watch and tune into games that feature teams that are successful and are competitive. Cronulla, Canberra, Penrith, Nth QLD are the masters of their own destiny. Start performing and they’ll get more than their fair share of free-to-air coverage. Continue to under achieve and suffer the consequences of being slapped with a 9.30pm delayed Saturday night, 2pm Sunday arvo timeslot.
I bet you the likes of Gus, Rabbits and Sterlo are spewing. If they had it their way they’d prefer to be at the SCG watching the Bunnies do battle with the Tigepies in what is now an annual nostalgic clash.

Probably because of the Sharks, Raiders and Panthers having a bit of a whinge about not getting any exposure on free to air tv. At least this game keeps 2 of those sides happy in the short term.

Works well for me. With this game now on Fox, it kicks off at 2pm. Coming down from Queensland, it allows me to catch a reasonable flight back early Sunday Evening…
-
Spewing 9 doesn’t have this game. 3pm is much better for me as I usually have soccer on Sunday mornings, now means more of rush.
Can’t wait to play Souffs, I sincerely hope we belt them.
-
what about the storm dragons game @ 2 oclock friday, when will it be aired?

Preferred IMO, 9’s ads on Sunday are ridiculous.

Would have thought Tigers v Souths would be Ch 9 for sure

I remember when Wests were struggling to win any games, we went from 1983 to May 1986 without a free to air match. All we had was the midweek cup which they had to show.
