Marcel Owen

This guy is gigantic prop
In our holden cup side
Is he NRL ready haven’t seen him play?

Haven’t seen him play, but I’ll give you the answer anyway…. No.

No props should ever go direct from Holden cup to our NRL side. (Note the words should and our)

I’m not saying he won’t make it eventually or even quickly. But the step is so big, he needs NSW cup, practice in defence, dedication and experience. That’s goes for any prop, and 99% of any player… Wish him all the best though. If he makes realistic goals I am sure he will get there in the end with perseverance and practice…

Yea that’s true
Cheers lad

Hasn’t been a regular in our NYC side so the answer is no.

Felisa, Tatola, Marsters, Grealy, the big Fijian bloke and Pifeliti are all ahead of him according to selections…

He’s played maybe 2-3 games this season, so either he’s not very good or been injured.

Where do people pluck these names from? Going off player profiles rather than reviews of performances?

we also have Graham and Grant in NSW cup, so he would 6th or 7th in the pecking order.

It’s a fair question isn’t it? I like that people in this forum talk about all the up and coming players, not just the standouts, but the roughies who might come good.

Plenty big at 122kg may prove his worth next year, time will tell!!

Valid, though I think every one of the props I named are the same age as him except Pifeliti who is younger. We have a very young forwards group in NYC this year.

I for one think they are all excellent too. I think our props have been very very impressive this year. Felise and Tatola look extremely likely to me.
