Get to know one of Wests Tigers’ new recruits for season 2016 — Jesse Parahi!

Parahi joins Wests Tigers after making the move from rugby union, having featured recently in the Australian Sevens’ successful 2016 Olympic Qualification on the weekend.

Speaking to weststigers.com.au, the 26-year-old admitted he felt him “in the deep end” a little on his first day of pre-season training, but spoke of his excitement and determination to make a successful switch across to rugby league and Wests Tigers in 2016.

He may be a chance to represent WT in the Auckland 9’s.

Certainly worth a look for the Nines

He would be well suited to the 9’s. Looks a bit small next to some of our forwards and readily acknowledged he needs to put on some more muscle but I think if he adapts well, could be a better backrow option off the bench as opposed to Lovett.

I’d be stunned if he didn’t play in the nines.
