Meanwhile, following on from the successful launch of Rugby League in the United Arab Emirates lead by former English Super league star Wayne McDonald, an as yet unnamed Sheikh from the county has been running the rule over sides in both hemispheres with an eye to taking over a club on either side of the globe.
The sheik was in Sydney and Manchester over the past month and it’s believed he is interested in buying clubs from those regions.
