They need to be pushing these blokes harder

Our aim should be to make them the fittest squad in the NRL bar none

Totally agree happy tiger when we are playing under fatigue is when they start missing tackles and making mistakes . We may not have the best squad in the comp but no reason why we cant be the fittest. We can do with any type of advantage.

From what I’ve seen so far they seem to be putting a lot of miles in the players legs rather than focusing on weights, although we did run with a simplified weights program last season.

In my line of work, sometimes it’s not about being the best at the job at all facets, however you can be successful by being the very best at something you do compared to your competition.

If our lads take the same approach - don’t worry about being the best squad, however aim to be the very best in terms of fitness, you never know what they will be able to achieve. Particuarly with interchanges
reducing next year.

We had so many lapses in concentration last season. Fitness is key to avoiding this again!

I must admit I was disappointed in seeing Brooks walking during the climb

Maybe if he was 110 +kg prop , you could excuse it

Apparently, he is not very fit for long distance work. I agree with Happy that this is unexpected for a back.

If grandpa Farah is fitter than Brooks then Brooks should hand up his boots.

It would be expected for plenty of “hiking” during a mountain climb like that.

All the players would have been walking at various stages.

You’d have a lot of fast twitch fibre guys who would be very unsuited to this sort of training (and staff would be aware of it)

He needs a few whopper capas and double choc muffins for some energy - Robbie will shout him

Robbie looks fit and trim as usual

He may have to put Brooksie on his back

Pigs Goose

You run til you spew and then you run some more

All these namby pamby apologist , he has fast twitch muscles , he has an aerobic capacity /metabolism , he has an anaerobic capacity /metabolism

No reason he should have led the hill climbs or at least been in the Top 5

Tell you right now , I bet if Teddy had been there , he’d been in the Top 5 and he has fast twitch
