Barrett/manly whining

He has only been the coach for a week but it didn’t take him long to adopt the manly mantra of whining at every opportunity

I see his point, four five-day turnarounds in the opening nine rounds of the season. In March & April.
Between rounds three and five, the club will be forced to play three games in a punishing 10-day period against heavyweights Cronulla, the Roosters and South Sydney. There is little respite as the club then backs up with short turnarounds against the Warriors and Eels in rounds six and seven and then again in rounds eight and nine, against the Knights and Cowboys.

It is not a fair competition, hasnt been for a long time

Rule No 1 at Manly

Everyone hates us and we hate the world

They live and feed off it

If it was us, we’d be spewing too. God we’d never hear the end of it on here!

They’re right but it’s Manly so sucked in…… :bawling

Barrett would by now have realised-if he didn’t already know when he signed on-that any failure to make the 8-and more than likely, the top 4-will see his very early demise as coach of the Warringah Whingers. He’s under more pressure than any other coach-including JT!

SYDNEY Roosters will ask for a please explain over the number of five-day turnarounds they’ve copped as they join expressions of concern about next season’s NRL draw.

Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan said he was “mystified” by his side’s schedule which has them forced to back up in the space of five days four times in the first 20 rounds.

The Roosters join Manly who on Saturday voiced disquiet over their draw, saying their players’ welfare was being put at risk. The Roosters, Sea Eagles and Wests Tigers all have four five-day turnarounds in the first 20 rounds.
Canavan said his club would seek a meeting with the NRL this week for an explanation and to put forward their case.

“We’re going to question about how these sort of things have arrived,” Canavan said.

“We’ll seek a meeting with the NRL to give us an explanation because we are mystified.

“Our sport science people have done research on (player burnout).

“The other aspect is if you play a number of these games with five-day turnarounds the performance levels drop as well because the players just aren’t as energised or able to perform at their peak.”……

That’d be right, the three teams most likely to win the comp….

Trying to slow us down again…

I thought the draw that was handed to Manly might have been payback for what happened regarding Daly Cherry-Evans earlier this year, but since we’re included I’m now thinking probably not.

Maybe instead of whining, put in good on field performances.
This will show everyone, regardless of the obstacles you face, you get on with it, and win.
