It goes so quick, my sons been playing for 10 years now, started at 4, now u/14s
What club he with??
Get involved yourself, do a coaching or trainers course, theres team mgr too…you’ll enjoy it even more.

My mum was manager for my team and my dad was manager for my brother’s team. Even in my team, two of the mums were our drink runners (up til around U12s) so for any mums out there, you can get involved too!
But yeah I can’t echo Ink’s sentiments enough … get involved and enjoy the time with your son together. I hope your son loves playing the game and his passion for it strengthens over the years.

First match report:
2 tackles, 1 awesome long range try, past the little posts and carried on determined to score under the full size ones in true Forrest Gump style.
Rhinos won. One very happy 4 year old.
What a start.
