How Does.........???

  • The Bulldogs keep these players under the cap and STILL have room to chase Foran?

    James Graham
    Josh Jackson
    Will Hopoate
    David Klemmer
    Josh Morris
    Brett Morris
    Moses Mbye
    Josh Reynolds

Whoever is balancing their books and doing the negotiating is a genius or something stinks there.

  • Something definitely stinks there.

The dogs books have probably been stamped
    ‘DO NOT OPEN’

    Signed …Todd Greenburg .

But seriously have you thought the dogs players might not be on as much as we think ?

Maybe they forego a couple of hundred thousand knowing their a chance of a Premiership .

Saying that the dogs are awful this year !

A few hundred thousand is a huge gamble on something that is a 1 in 16 chance of happening. I really doubt they are on less than what we think.

Give em credit they got rid of Trent Hodgkinson last year 😆.

We should of beaten them a few weeks back.

  • Looking @ those players there has to be min 3.5 - 4.0 million worth of contracts, i think i am under guessing unders on there contracts. I know Tony Williams is going @ the end of this year but he is supposedly on $600,000 a Year, Got me beat.

  • What is the cap limit these days?

  • @Chris:

What is the cap limit these days?

Depends on how many sets of books you are keeping it seems.
Isn’t it around $4.7 million or thereabouts?

Add Kasiano to that list as well. That bug-eyed flog is a Kiwi Test player and would be on a packet.

    TPA’s.

The sooner the NRL sets more appropriate guidelines for them the better - or as soon as we get better at exploiting them the better.

That and dispensation for developing juniors - although that seems unlikely.

The NFL does a great job with this as every little detail of every NFL players contract details are on public display on websites so there is little doubts on salary cap cheating etc.The game is not ruled by the players but by the clubs and the NFL itself. It makes for a more fan-friendly experience.

The Bulldogs have by far the most impressive looking team on paper (especially in the forwards), but geez they are incredibly vulnerable sometimes. A team of stars, but not a star team - perhaps it’s not the right mix Des, don’t know if Foran will help.

    It’s 6.8 million this year
    7 million next year .

Let’s not forget Tony Williams is on 600k/year. They signed him up when he was going good, and now he’s a dud.

Bronocos far worse. Their retention rate is incredible. We all know how they do it though. When a player retires, they “hire” them for continued involvement in the club.
