Better late than never IMO - He will be a great addition ath the back end of the season when he has some match fitness.

He won’t be back anytime soon if reports out of Concord are true. He is jogging in a straight line but Sheens has said the injury and rehab are coming along very slowly and he has already dismissed seeing Tuiaki return in the first half of the season. He said the club has sought every possible medical advice on treating the injury in the hope of speeding up his recovery. Others on here are in the know and reckon we may not see him at all this year. I’ll be surprised if he returns before round 16.

i’ve been thinking indefinite since he got injured.

i consider it a bonus if we see him this year.
gotta feel for the big fella,he should have been cashing in on his form right now.if anyone deserved to be getting an upgrade it is tnt.

hope he gets better and comes back close to the tnt we all love to see for a few more years.

100% wont be back for the 1st half of the season.
The club doesnt even know a possible date for a return… so dont hold your breath to see the Tui and Lote Show… chances are its not going to happen this year…

If he could be back by round 16-18 it would be massive boost as we head in to some of our tougher games of the season.

I am salivating at the thought of Tuiaki and Lote on the wings…however given the nature of his injury, I’m not expecting to see him at his best again until 2011.

I just hope he does return this season, get a good month or two of football under his belt and then can help us in the finals if we indeed do make it that far.

In saying that, a half strength Tuiaki is still better than Fitzhenry, Daniela or Brown.

Well….if he is not back this year…a decision needs to be made…Tui off contract 2010…

Hope we see the big fella back when he’s ready…if it’s midyear or later will be a nice boost for the charge to the finals…

also a very dangerous thought as well… bringing back a player specially with the power and weight he carries in those legs needs the full amount of time possible to repair.

IF he is not 100% right, he wont be back this year… very simple.

as for the contract, he wont go anywhere… he will be at the Tigers for many a years to come;)

I agree. I just can’t believe how long he’s been injured for, and still no return date.

It’s been 9 months already, could be 12 before he is fit to get back on the park, and another good 2 months before he is fully match fit again, so a 12 month + injury.

                        😦

Even if Tui does make it back he’s going to be well off the pace. Part of me almost would rather see him take the time get things right and come back next year in top condition. I think we’ve got adequate cover at the moment and enough talent to not miss him as such. Obviously we do miss him but we’ve got enough talent to cover his absence.

I hope he comes back although I am not at all confident we will see him with the tigers in 2011, more so if he comes back and is back to his best not sure we can afford him if hes back to his best

It is sad for him really. He had reached a point last year where he appeared to be a much more confident footballer. He looked set to be the top try scorer and looked like he was enjoying himself on the field. It must be incredibly frustrating for him to not be back by now. Good luck to him in getting back soon!
