    Holden Cup Team Announcement: Round 1

    Wests Tigers Holden Cup Coach Chris Hutchinson has named his Round 1 team for the Club’s season opener against the South Sydney Rabbitohs this Friday.

    Kickoff for the match is at 5:50pm AEDT from ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

    Hutchinson has named an initial 21-man squad for Friday’s season opener, which will be reduced to 19 players on Thursday night, with the final team to be named at 4:50pm.

    Second-year player Daniel Peck will captain the team on Friday night.

  • I will try to get there a bit early to see how Papenhuyzen, Lemuelu & Paseka go.

    I imagine these players will all play FG sometime in the next few years.



  • Decent enough looking squad for round 1. Hopefully our halves gel together as we have some pretty talented outside backs who can really do some damage.

    Nah, he’s small. Only listed at 179cm and 94kg, lightweight for a backrower.

    I was surprised to see Paseka in NYC…maybe Hutchinson thought he needed more size…



  • Kurnoth will tackle anything. More then capable of handling himself against bigger opposition.

    Also looking forward to Mikaele and the damage he will do.
