  • Very beatable.

Without the go forward from their two wingers from last year the Panthers forwards looked very soft last week. The pack may be very overrated (I would think maybe only one or two of their starting forwards would make our starting pack). Their outside backs aren’t that flash either with their injuries. Their bench this week is also not very strong.

I never brought into the premiership favourite hype about them for this year. I think the Cowboys, Raiders, Storm and Roosters as a minimum will finish well above them.

Run at Cartwright and Martin all day and we should score plenty of points and win well.

  • Still quite a reasonable side. If we don’t get on top of their forwards it will be a tough one.

  • Definitely not unbeatable. Watch for DWZ to be a late inclusion.

Tough team on paper. I dont think we can take too much into their performance last week. We will definitely have to step up a notch for this game and play 80 minutes not 60.

  • We need to watch out for Latu’s offload, it could cause us trouble!!!

  • That side looks good but Panthers suffer from Tigers-itis, team looks good, sometimes plays good, sometimes does not.

Last week from them was abominable.

  • They were very soft up front last week, very strange. Merrin looks like he’s carrying a few extra kgs too.
It’s a good side, but they’re relying on halves that have played a handful of games each and barely any minutes together.
If the weather clears a bit and we get a big crowd out there on Sunday, I fancy us.

Merrin’s probably suffering from some shagger’s back

  • If Lawrence and Sue can hit the line at 100 ph and get quick play the balls like they did against Souths, we will win. Penrith do not have the same power and grunt in their pack as a team like Canberra. Penrith’s biggest weapon is their ability to offload

My heart bleeds for the poor chap.

I think people just remember the back end of the Year…Penrith were more cold than hot in the beginning of 2016…

It won’t be easy by any means we just need to worry about ourselves…

  • I hope the Tigers don’t think like some on here.

This will be a tough game for us, the Panthers will be hurting after an embarrassing start. They are a solid well trained unit and will cause us some trouble.

We had an emotional start against Robbie and 2 man short Souths missing their halfback.

  • Going to be a real tough game , if we can’t control their size and speed around the ruck we will struggle

We have a few ex Penrith boys , hopefully they lift , especially Idris , a few bonecrunching runs and hits won’t go astray

At our best we can win this , but we need our best footy

I think the other key will be our line speed , Penrith don’t seem to like being rushed or pressured

This is exactly the mindset the tigers need going in to this game, hopefully we can just focus on completing our sets and having good defence and stopping their offloads.
