Seriously, if we are going to move AD to 6, we need to sign an established fullback. Since Tedesco has left, we’ve signed 3 replacements. Lolohea, Mbye and AD. The first two failed, and while AD is a better prospect than the first two, I don’t think fullback is in his long term future. It’s why I wouldn’t touch a kid like Staines. We need to go after someone whose proven themselves as an out and out fullback.
Doubt we have the coin this year to do that - might be a 2022 prospect when more cash is available.

Does madge rate Bradley or Madden at all?
may as well jump on question train
I recall the Dragons wanted a half, Madden or Walters, for Saab. POM wrote last night there were issues/concerns about whom the Dragons wanted. I took it to mean WTs were unlikely to agree. I believe Madden is highly thought of but Reynolds needs to move on as he is blocking his progress. Not sure about Bradley.

Reynolds sold shire properties and moving out of area wonder where he is off to?

Will never happen, but I would absolutely take Stains. He is a beast of a player.

The nrl really can’t change the sizes of squads at this late stage. Would be highly unethical… Many clubs have already filled 80-90% of their 30man rosters. Had they known rosters would be smaller certain contracts would never have been signed.
They’ve already acted unethically in introducing major changes to the rules mid season. The money is still there for clubs, why on earth would they make drastic changes now when clubs have no flexibility to respond. If they want to change squad sizes it must be for the 2022 season. That would be fair. Anything else is madness.
But then Vlandys is a dictator and like Trump he’ll use his toxic power to make up the rules as he goes.
Oh yeah, V’landys is the worst. I can’t believe he evn got the competition going again. What a fool. Please bring back Greenberg. He led this game to a golden era. Or maybe Gallop. Hasn’t he done such a magnificent job with the A-League. Let’s all pretend that the coaches, media and owners haven’t run the game into the ground for the past 15 years by pushing their own agendas.

to be fair that poor bastard went through a fair bit in that house and couldn’t even walk into the baby nursery, he may just need a fresh start. of course people are thinking England but I mean he may just need to move house.

I know the media guys are very wary of V’Landys - which is only a good thing. They work with him, but know that he is not going to be pushed over - unlike most of the people since the mid to late 80’s

Eisenhuth gone huh. That’s disappointing. He’s finally kicked on in his 4th year with us. Seems a waste to invest so much time in his development only for another club to reap the rewards. I think he’ll do well wherever he ends up.
Hes almost 30 mate. The cancer really set him back unfortunately. Twal is very similar, except for the passing game
Eiso turns 28 today so happy birthday to Matt
Comparatives on Eiso v Twal are pretty similar
Eiso 8 Games Twal 7
Eiso 62 Minutes Twal 62
Eiso 11.8 Runs per game Twal 11.3
Eiso 102 Metres per game Twal 91
Eiso 6 Tackle Busts Twal 5
Eiso 3 Offloads Twal 0
Eiso 39 Tackles per game Twal 43
Eiso 2.3 Missed tackles per game Twal 0.4
Eiso 2 Errors Twal 0
Eiso 4 Penalties Twal 3I hope we manage to keep him

I reckon the Barrett link will have Staines going to the Bulldogs and JAC back to us.

This has been done a few times but…
https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2019/11/01/wests-tigers-2020-nrl-squad/
- Roster has 11 gaps (including development players being upgraded and Stefano signing)
- Benji goes around again - 10
- Squad to 28 - 8
It may be cause its early for me (or because I’m slightly dusty) but, I don’t get the lack of room for players.
Who are the 8 (10)?

If you count all the guys who are contracted for 2021 it adds up to 24 contracted for our top squad, so 6 spots available for next season.

We have 21 for 2021 incl Stefano but excl Dev players (-9 if 30 OR -7 if 28)
Likely 3-4 development players (-5-6 OR -3-4))
Three new signings? (e.g. Bunty, JAC, Stains) (-2-3 OR 0-1)
Leaves zero to three spots for other new signings or Eiso/McIntyre/Benji extensions which sound maybe unlikely in a 28 player roster -

sorry mate but if you do a count of who has a contract on the squad list it’s at 24. if you add Momirovski and assume we re-sign McIntyre that’s 26. if in fact squad numbers are reduced to 28 that leaves two spots, one you’d think to be filled by Marshall unless we can move M’Bye or Reynolds on, and that last one would be filled by one of Addo-Carr, Staines, Afoa, Proctor or Jason Saab. situation is very difficult so you can see why they’re trying to move players on.
