Tedesco tried but way too many mistakes.

  • Not sure which of these treads to post in, so will go with the earlier one.
    3. ET does so much work in defence, slows the ruck down and really stood out last night.
    2. Suli. Does not have the speed to go with James Roberts, but his positioning and effort meant that he did not get caught out. Does more dirty work than half our forwards.
    1. Liddle. Has not been overplaying his hand, but noticed he stood up in defence last night and also seems to show ability in controlling the ruck.

Hopefully the last 2 are quality first graders for the tigers for years to come.

Honourable mentions for Kev, MM & Rankin.I also don’t think that Lovett is as bad as others on this forum like to make out. He won’t play for Australia, but surround him with quality players (Melbourne, Cowboys, Broncos etc) and I think people on here would be adding him to the list of players they like whinging that we let go.

  • The usual suspects
    3 Tedesco
    2 Woods
    1 Suli

  • Lets try and find something positive out of last nights game…

    3. Suli - He tried hard all night. Real baptism of fire for this kid this season, and he’s showing loads of character. Bent the line more than Aaron woods did on the dirty hit-ups, and always looked a handful. Broncs needed 3-4 men in every tackle on this bloke. Would love to see him in open space.

    2. Rankin - Made one horrible mistake at the back, but lets face it, He flogged himself tonight behind once of our worse packs in years. It would be interesting to see how he’d go at 5/8 behind a decent pack.

    1. Killer/Liddle. Can’t split them both did well at the same level for different reasons.

  • 3. Suli - doesn’t look like a rookie
    2. Tedesco - tries hard, but out of form
    1. Rankin - effort 5/5

  • 3 - Suli
    2 - Tedesco
    1 - Woods

  • I can’t believe that people are rating Tedesco. He is killing our attack. He should straightening the attack when he gets the ball and drawing outside defenders in to create roon for our centres and wingers.

Instead his drifts wider, takes their room and if he breaks the first tackle, runs backwards, round in circles and basically looks like a headless chook

Tedesco certainly nullifies Suli’s potential by running him out of space or cutting back into the inside.

Also the fact Woods and Tedesco were playing for their SOO jerseys rather than the team. I find this type of behaviour to be against what team work is about.

Mostlyhe gets the ball when there’s nothing on.
Nothing worked for him last night and he’s been in a form slump for 3 weeks, but he tried , which is more than some did
It’s not helping that teams know that he is our only real threat to them and cover him tightly.
There’s not to many others for them to worry about
Youll see the real Tedesco in Soo. Where he can’t be spotted as closely because of the players around him

At least Wood’s efforts were more team based.

Tedesco did try hard but where has that effort been? Perhaps we need to have SOO every second week to get the best out of him… then again, there is a lot of work to be done to make him effective when he gets the ball.

I’m actually starting to agree with you. He’s a wonderful talent and definitely tries hard….but maybe that’s it, he just tries too hard as he is starting to look like a ball hog.

    3. Suli (He’s developing into a solid all round first grade player)
    2. Liddle (Defended well and, despite some errors, did probe well at the play the ball)
    1. Rankin (Defended well and tried to get things moving with the ball in his hands.)

Honorable mentions to Taylor and Kev.
